Do not focus on who you are not, for that will either clothe you with the prideful rags of self-righteousness or blindfold you with the despair of self-abasement.
Rather, focus on your Creator: Who He is and who you are and are to be in light of Him. This brings neither pride or despair for God is not the Lord of either but is the Father of mercies and God of hope and comfort. (2 Corinthians 1:3-4, Romans 15:13)
He has already promised He will give guidance to the simple (Psalm 19:7, 119:130) strength to the weak (Psalm 73:25-26, Isaiah 40:27-29) and grace to the humble (1 Peter 5:5-7, Isaiah 57:15).
This promise is a solid assurance for of all that He has spoken, "not one has failed but all have come to pass." (Joshua 23:14, Isaiah 55:10-11)-
Of course, don't take my word for it, but His. "Come (look at His Word) and see." [John 1:46]
