Someone needs to hear this today....
So I've been listening to the dramatized, full score, audibook of "The Fellowship..." and the scene that jumped out to me was Gloin when he inquires whether the 3 Elven rings were idle; Elrond assures Gloin without giving the secret away, that they are not idle and tells him how they were created for the purpose of healing the world, not trying to rule it in power.
Perhaps you feel like your gift (the works that God prepared beforehand, that you should walk in them) has seemingly never manifested. Perhaps you're unaware of the talent our Lord has given you.
Do not fear or fret in passivity but rather live and work for Him in quiet proactiveness and purpose...perhaps your gift has been destined to lie quiet till an appointed time when God will stir and call it forth to be ministered in healing this fallen world.
