(Kaname's pov)

The smell of blood hit the air before and after the beam of light went straight a spot on the Campus obscured by the trees.
I saw, for a brief moment, Y/n in that beam of light.
A scream broke through the silence and it seemed to give my fast beating heart a coronary.
'That scream, that tone.
I know the owner of that voice
Y/n'!
I got up and ran.
Hanabusa said confused and stayed behind for a mintue.
"Lord Kaname"?!
Takuma followed me with a determined look on his face.
Hanabusa then knew it wasn't just okay to follow, it was a silent order.
Akatsuki, Ruka, Senri, and Rima followed.
We stopped at the edge of the trees and I felt my heart stop.
Y/n held a spot on her left side over her heart and stayed laying down on the ground.
Takuma said as Seiren ran off to the campus.
"Lord Kaname Seiren has it handled with Y/n.
It appears Y/n must of been grazed".
I steamed myself and clenched my fists.
'Whoever harmed her will pay with their lives'!
But I toke a breath and I said to takuma.
"Takuma, keep me from leaving the moon dorms, the headmaster will punish the one who did this to Y/n.
Im afriad I would just kill the man that did this and that's the easy way out for him".
Takuma kept a careful watch on me like I asked him.
The Night class watched in worry, both in my direction and out the window, they smelled the blood as I did.
To much for a small graze.
'She must be in so much pain, why wasnt I there to protect her'!
The glass in the glass windows cracked, and the cracks grew until Seiren came in.
She said looking at me.
"Y/n was injured earlier tonight, professor Yagari fired and she got in the way.
The bullet grazed her deeply, she was lucky she moved before-.
(She stopped and looked away.
She cared for Y/n and she is having a hard time saying what's next.
She just finished with.)
But she lost some blood and is going to recover in the infirmary".
I then asked grinding my teeth.
"So Mister Yagari harmed Y/n"?
She nodded and said.
"Headmaster says he'll deal with mister Yagari".
I nodded and asked calming down.
"What caused the moon light to be beamed down"?
She then said.
"I wasn't there when it happened.
I got there as fast as I could when I smelled her blood.
The light was leaving when I arrived, Yagari went away and headmaster told me to go get the first aid kit".
I relaxed and felt like a ghost, a shell of the man I was.
I then said looking away.
"Will she be okay"?
'Maybe what I saw was just conjured up what I saw in that moon beam.
Maybe Y/n's blood smells different because she's not like other humans'.
Love can make people do crazy things, make them blind to what's going on around them, and make them see things that aren't really there.
Or blind to what's really going on.
I then said.
"Thank you Seiren, watch over her, let me know when she's recovered".
She nodded, but stopped and turned in the door way to look at me.
She said.
"She's a strong young woman, she'll only be sore for a couple of days.
I couldn't tell how bad it was, but it seems to look worse than it is.
She just needs one half pint of blood, her arm while be in a sling to keep it from her from using it.
It won't scar either.
She'll be up on her feet in 3 to 4 days".
I nodded and a tear escaped my eye and I said understanding she was trying to cheer me up.
"Thank you Seiren".

I looked away and a couple of tear's escaped.
I then got up and said.
"Lets retreat to the dorms, I can't keep myself in this room and not think about going after Yagari".
They followed me and I went to my room.
I then said as I finally let myself cry.
"I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry Y/n".

(Y/n's pov) *time skip to the afternoon*

I opened my eyes the moment I felt to warm.
That's when the fan was turned on.
My left arm was wrapped up and close to my chest to prevent me from using it, as to not agitate the muscle that is suffering phantom pain from a gin shot.
I opened my eyes and Yuki said as she turned to me, holding a plate of food.
"Y/n good your awake.
(She placed the food on my lap after i sat up using my right arm instead to push myself up.
But i still feel the pain on the in the area where my heart is.)
I got you your favoirte.
(I looked at the tomato soup with little meat balls, alphabeticall letters, and numbers.)
SpaghettiOs.
I figure you want something soft to eat so you don't aggravate the muscle above your heart.
How do you feel"?
I then said as I was careful not to touch the bandage that wrapped my arm to the left part of my chest.
"Just because we heal fast doesn't mean we don't feel pain.
Being shot isn't a picnic at all".
Seiren must of been at my other side cause when I turned to see who placed a bottle in my hand, I was shocked.

She said as she gave me a glass of water.
"Here, take this pain relife, it should help".
I toke it and I said looking at her.
"So, you know what I am.
(I asked closing my eyes.)
Does Kaname know"?
She shook her head and said.
"No, he doesn't know.
I promise to keep your secret from him until you feel you want to tell him".
I then said before perparing to eat.
"I don't think I'll ever be ready to telp him.
Sooner or later, probably sooner that he'll find out, whether I tell him or not".
Kaien Cross came and said crying.
"Oh my dear student Y/n such a terrible thing that happened to you.
(He held my hand and said.)
I want you to get some rest and your duties of disciplinary committee and guardian will be put on hold until you recovered okay.
Your ahead the class so much so you can relax until the spring semester".
I nodded and said.
"Thank you headmaster.
(I then asked.)
How's Zero?
Is he okay"?
Zero said coming in and he looked different, and happy again.
"More than okay Y/n, I feel like my old self only different.
I'm concerned about you.
(Zero sat besides Seiren and put his wrm around her and she blushed.)
Seiren says you passed out from pain from the healing process".
I awwed at them and said.
"Just because we heal fast doesn't mean we don't feel pain.
Ill be fine, it should be gone in two days.
I just wounder if it's okay if ypu guys handled watching over the Night class and patroling without me".
Yuki then said.
"We'll be more than fine you just relax and rest, we'll come by to visit you when classes end and before we start patrol".
I smiled and there was a nock at the door, Yagari was there and the headmaster was about to speak.
But i raised my hand and said.
"It wasn't his fault I'm hurt, the only one to blame was me.
(The professor looked shocked and i said.)
Please come in, kind of weird to see someone waiting in the door way makes me think there's an earthquake or a tremor, it's kind of making me anxious".
Yagari came in and he held a teddy bear with a couple of white roses and a, is that a that a giant Rocher's candy he's holding?
The kind that has two smaller ones in it and the plastic on the inside to prevent the chocolate and nuts from melting onto the small candy's kidden inside?
Yagari said as he placed the items in my arms after Yuki grabbed my plate.
"I just wanted to come to apologise and thank you for what you did for Zero.
I dont know if your girly or a tomboy but Yuki say you like roses and this type of candy, I also found this teddy that seems to be popular".
I sniffed the air and found out it was coming from the teddy.
It smelled like winter candy apple.
I smiled and said looking at mister Yagari.
"Thank you professor".
He smield and Kaien was crying as he said.
"Oh Y/n, Yagari, I'm so proud of you both".
Yagari stood up as he said.
"You recover now okay?
I promise to keep your secret from the Sentate, Hunter Association and those outside this room will know the truth".
I then said looking at them.
"I'm afriad that sooner rather than later, the turth will come out.
It's only a matter of time".
