James took a casual stroll around the city as they cheer and celebrate the four musketeers victory in defeating the lord trying to steal the crown. The lord had mostly taken control over most of the kingdom and started to change the kingdom into his own preferred image. Earning the people to suffer and he got away with it for a couple years already by disbanding the musketeers, knowing they were loyal to both king and the people and would have refused his orders.
And James was pleased that the four musketeers had won, had been able to stop the lord and send word to the true king who laid on his sick bed.
In truth, James felt ashamed for standing as a soldier to the lord. He knew his defence was that the letter the lord held, with permission from the king himself for all the lords bidding, seemed real. James should have trusted his own gut the moment he noticed the kingdom began to grow worse by the lord's doing.
But what bothered James the most was that he had thought there was a fifth musketeer within the four musketeers now standing as heroes. He was certain he had met a fifth member when he had helped to hide the musketeers and pass on intel to them doing their secret meet ups. He was certain he met a fifth but he held no proof over that and no one else spoke over a fifth member either.
Takashi Shirogane, Matthew Holt, Keith Kogane and Lance McClain were all being cheered and praised for the heroes they stood to be.
The musketeers were back and James was relieved to be wearing his old uniform again. As well as all the other musketeers who were ordered back to their duties once more as musketeers were glad to have their uniforms back.
But James still felt a longing to meet the fifth musketeer of the four heroes.
He often found himself enjoying the company of the fifth member and he knew they must be real because he could picture a face. Well, a shadowed face as their hat always seemed slightly too big on purpose to shade half of their face. But he remembered their eyes, such breath taking golden eyes filled with intelligence and cheekiness.
He missed the fifth member and he grew to feel even lonelier when no mention of the fifth member was ever spoken over. Not even by the four musketeers.
James just wanted to meet Pidge one more time.
"How lucky must a lady be if she's came across one of the heroes to our kingdom. Sir Griffin, it is a true pleasure to cross paths with you today" A women spoke up with a bright a smile as she stood purposely directly in front of James. Her eyes shining with mischief as she stared up at him. A rather stylish hat on her head, one where long hair would be tucked inside of it.
"I apologize, miss. I stand as no hero. I may wear the musketeers uniform but I am not one of the fif-four members being celebrated today" James apologizes towards her with a straight face, having assumed she must have mistaken him for one of the other four main heroes. Many other musketeers that finally gained their original job back and uniform were being mistaken for the four heroes.
"I heard that you were a great help to them. That you would help them to hide and were the reason they were capable sneaking into the lord's manor to defeat him. As well as fought beside them a few times. You became a spy, a spy that favoured your fellow musketeers. You helped from the shadows and this victory is as much of your doing and it was the four musketeers doing. Well, they have been fighting longer than you have but you did your own part when it was needed" She rambled back with a soft smile, eyes curious as she stared at him and took all of him in. Nodding rather happily with whatever she found and thought over him.
