Pidge found herself at the ripe age of twenty-six years old, travelling with her best friend Keith, twenty-eight, an half Galran from the Daibazaal kingdom who hated half breeds as much as the rest of the planet hated Demi-gods.
Pidge had met Keith a few years ago, neither fully trusting the other thanks to their grown trust issues but they soon became decent friends and after that, good friends. Both working together to free as many cursed souls as possible. Leaving those unwilling to leave their parents made prison, still keeping hope to be rescued by their true love.
As well as that one royal heir that wouldn't leave their prison until they won over their Dragon that was placed to guard them, heart. The heir had fallen for the dragon and was determined to marry it. With the Dragon looking so done and was encouraging the royal heir to leave just so they could finally fly off themselves. Keith and Pidge had left them be, hands up in surrender as they both backed out the main door and never looked back.
Pidge and Keith made an odd duo, well trio with Cosmo the cometic wolf joining them, Keith's chosen beast. Apparently all half Galra's are given the choice to chose an animal friend to raise and keep with them before they're thrown out of Daibazaal the moment they could survive on their own.
Pidge had always found it odd. Demi-gods held the appearance over both human and beast and were hated. The Galra, who were practically human cats, were respected and feared. None had saw Demi-gods and the Galra as close to being the same or familiar. The Galra despised Demi-gods for the mere reason that they weren't Galra and hated half Galran more due to ruining the pure bloodlines. So, at least the Galra were a little more respectful in their hated to the Demi-Gods compared to the rest of the planet.
"We're using Cosmo to cross that bridge. It looks ready to fall into the rock filled ocean" Keith stated as he stared uneasily towards the worn bridge made of rope and wood and barely strung between the island and the cliff side with a rocky ocean far below.
"We can't teleport with Cosmo. Some of these places hold particles spells. We could be thrown straight down into the ocean if we try to enter with Cosmo. Or worse, get stuck half through the particle shield and half out of it again. You didn't enjoy last time, remember?" Pidge replied with an frown as she rolled her eyes and knew they couldn't use the teleporting wolf to cheat with skipping the bridge.
"I had a very itchy nose that I couldn't itch. It was torture" Keith complained, glaring up at the clear sky above and clearly wanting to fight some gods again.
"I'll go first. I'm lighter. You cross over with Cosmo, if it starts to break teleport back here with him" Pidge offered up with a careless wave as she started heading towards the rotten two posts that had one end of the bridge tied to them. Ignoring how both posts were cracking and leaning, mostly being pulled by gravity, towards the cliff's edge.
"You don't even know how to swim" Keith pointed out as he patted the uneasy wolf that was sat beside him, clearly not liking the idea of using the clearly unsafe bridge either.
