One Year Later..

Katie grins as she eyes up the agent heading towards her, rather liking what she saw and making no effect to hide how interested she was in him either. She really did hold no shame when it came to him and she knew he didn't mind her staring for far too long. She was his favourite and most preferred stalker after all. 

"This isn't the time nor the place" Keith scolds lightly, nodding subtly towards the crime scene they stood at. 

Reporters and curious civilians all being kept back behind the police tape as a few officers kept them all behind the tape line. Other officers wondering around the crime scene, documenting the crime scene and collecting evidence. Flashes from camera coming from all directions. 

"Making someone as handsome as you were a crime. Makes me want to steal you away and keep you all to myself" Katie shoots back with a goofy grin, eyeing him up once more. 

Keith rolls his eyes fondly at his girlfriend, knowing she was harmless but held no shame in any of her bones either. A smile on his lips, pleased she was dragged along for this case in person instead of only being stuck hearing her voice over a call during the whole case. He liked it when she got to join in person, more so since they began dating. 

None of the team knew her link to Antok, no one knew she was raised by an unsub for most of her life. That the burns on her hands, hidden by green or red leather gloves were by surviving an unsubs attack and not because she was playing with an open fire as a toddler and learnt her lesson over the danger of a flame the hard way. 

Keith never planned to tell the truth, knew that Katie would never keep her job if the wrong people knew. As well as knowing a few might see her differently if they knew how she was raised. More so when Katie had grown to forgive Antok for killing her parents and brother but never grew to forgive the evil souls he had killed elsewhere. How she had thought like Antok, knew his targets deserved it and had helped Antok to gain his revenge.

Katie would be locked away forever and Keith loves her too damn much to lose her like that. 

Prison wouldn't allow them to be roommates and so, Keith wouldn't let her go to jail. 

"Shiro wants me to head back to the hotel and dig for any information on this couple. Coming with me or will you be sticking around looking for some overlooked clue?" Katie passes on her next lot of plans, knowing he'd worry if she just vanished from the crime scene without telling him why first. 

"Staying here for a bit. We know that so far all the victims have been in a powerful position in work somehow. But none of them have ever met and not all of them have used the same company or gone to the same places. Something feels wrong over our victims link" Keith mumbled back with a troubled expression as he glances back towards the newest victims house. Something felt odd about this whole case and he wanted to find out what.
