For the the next couple of hours Katie was shoved towards a washing bowl and left to clean herself up while her brother stood outside his bedroom's door, keeping guard. A spare set of clothing, close to his sister's size was left on the bed for her to change into afterwards. The clothes having been sent away at least twice by Matthew when the staff had brought dresses at first before Matthew made it clear he wanted boy clothing for his sister. She may have held a body of a lady now but with the right baggy clothing and keeping her tucked from main sight by standing in front of her, her short hair still helped to make others assume she's a famine boy at first glance.

Once Katie was washed and dressed, she opened the door to show her brother that she was fine. She ignored the few small bruises, not daring to mention them as she knew her brother would freak out over them.

The next hour was spent over them both laying in the bed, just talking and reasuring the other. Katie keeping her story simple and short. She had barely came across much trouble and kept mostly out of sight while travelling the desert. Having gotten Lance or Hunk to do any talking with strangers while she hid in the carriage once she had met both men.

Matthew had admitted the cut to his cheek was done by someone named Keith, Shiro the leader, right hand man. It had all happened when he was trying to fight the attackers at the ruins, he had almost got a good shot towards Shiro and of course Keith had jumped into action. Shiro had called for him to stop and Keith had slid his sword away but it had still left the deep slash on Matt's cheeks, one that would surely scar.

Katie was planning her revenge for her brother being harmed.

It wasn't until Katie realized the look in her brother's eyes when he carried on speaking over Shiro more than his travels that she realized her brother had began to fall in love. Shiro had been mad solely at Slav who knew the ruins they had arrived at were forbidden to be stepped on without direct permission from the Guns of Gamara due to the historical meaning to the place. Something Slav apparently knew but was hoping to sneak over and not be found out. Professor Slav had been taken straight towards the harbour by two of the Guns of Gamara members, both been ordered to make sure he leaves on the first ship home.

Afterwards Shiro had took Matthew in. Got his medical member to help treat Matthew's cheek. Taking him back towards the Lions city for protection and having not once tried to harm or threaten him. Shiro was the perfect gentlemen and a very thoughtful person as he tried to make Matthew as comfortable as one could. Speaking with Matt and teaching him over their culture once noticing his interest in learning. As well as Shiro had sent his men back towards the ruins to look for Katie, Matthew had been a nervous wreck over the thought of losing his sister and told Shiro how he had hid her. Shiro had sent men to collect Katie and bring her back to the city where both siblings could be protected.

Katie was rather certain her brother didn't seem to notice how he talked more over Shiro than his actual travelling with the Guns of Gamara. Nor did he talk much over the new knowledge he has gained from them either. In fact, Katie was rather certain her brother had at least kissed Shiro once by blush on his cheeks whenever he skipped a certain part of the story. Katie wondered if they had gone further than kissing but that was her brother and she didn't need or want to know over that part of his life.
