Katie has soon learnt that time works very differently in the other world compared to her own. She could spend years in the other world and barely a week or maybe a month would pass in her own world. She also noticed that she didn't seem to age as quickly even while spending a long time in the other world. Leaving her only aging as much as she would during her own world time. 

Since her fist visit, Katie has came back with Lance plenty since during their own winter. It seemed a mirror within the castle could act as a portal between the two worlds or they could exit and entrance from the route they had walked during their first arrival. 

With time acting differently, it have both her and Lance to explore the other world a lot better and get to know others even more. Without neither fearing over the risk of missing Christmas with their families back in their own world. 

As well as Katie learning over her duties during each visit and being able to chose her own clothing. She's stayed with the nicer dresses but mostly wore a set of trousers underneath. Her dress was a lot more simple and normally different shades of green with each visit. It left her able to walk around more freely and enjoy her exploring better. Though she did give Lance her crowns, letting him wear a different one with each of their visits too. Apparently she was meant to keep a crown close to show she was the Holt royal but no one said she had to be the one to wear it fully time. So, Lance got to wear a crown and he seemed happy with it. 

She hasn't gotten around to telling her parents that she found the other world. Nor has she told Matthew. She thought over mentioning it to her brother but she also wasn't sure if he'd be allowed to visit the other world if she's already doing so. No one has ever mentioned over multiple Holt's visiting at once. Her parents were only visiting together due to being childhood friends when first visiting.  And Lance seemed to agree that it was unfair to speak over this world to Matt if he'd never be able to explore it himself due to some old stupid magic rules. 

But Katie would admit she's also been a little selfish over keeping her visitations a secret. She found herself enjoying Keith's company rather often during her visits. The nutcracker was fascinating and often made her smile.

She learnt that he stood as Shiro's right hand man. That Romelle, a fairy, stood as Allura's second in command. Adam had a tree called Curtis as his second in command while Lotor had a flower creature known as Acxa. All of them got to come with their leaders or stay in the kingdoms to run it while their leaders away. Keith always left with Shiro, leaving a nutcracker known as Kolivan in charge of the Winter Kingdom while away. 

Katie rather liked her time spent with Keith. Either one on one or in a group. He was making the visits a lot more interesting for her and she found herself not having to hide herself at all towards him.  

"Who knew your type was wooden men. I'm not suddenly in danger of your romantic affection, am I, Pidgey?" Lance teased as he came to a stop beside his friend, watching as Keith was dragged away by Adam to join in an husband's argument between him and Shiro. Keith stuck in the middle of it all.
