Chapter 809

Author: Most of my daily time is taken up with going to and fro the hospital for visits leaving very little time for writing. I still haven't began to edit chapter 808 since there's just so little time. Discharge time for my mother is still unconfirmed so I really won't know when I'll have the time to write and edit.   

Update 10/15/18: Don't have to go to and fro the hospital anymore and I just finished editing chapter 808. Still won't have too much time to write since my mother is still making a recovery and needs someone to care for her. Also have to drive my father to work as well.   

Update 10/23/18: Mother is back in the hospital again with another surgery planned for tomorrow. Most likely this month and the next will all be rough... Right now I'm only 790 words into chapter 809.

As the Yaksha like entity's complex chant continues a wavy spiral appears on the pitch-black surface of the scroll painting.

From a distance away it looks almost as if there is a rotating vortex stuck onto the surface of the painting.

[** ** * * ***** *** **** * **.]

Pronouncing the lines that are the third part of its chant traces of an ominous force of demonic energy seethes outwards causing the temperature around the vicious monster to drop harshly.

With the sudden drop in temperature a faint mist of cold Qi manifests to surround the Yaksha and just as Xuan Nuo is about to turn his head around to face it-

With its eyes giving off a glaring red radiance the Yaksha like entity waves the scroll painting and similar to a bucket filled with water calligraphic characters written in dark ink are thrown out of the painting's surface along with dragon like streams of demonic Qi!

These calligraphic characters give off an odd force of pressure as they gather over the body of the dark wolf and merge to form a colossal gate of stone.

With numerous faces that are showing an expression of agony decorating the surface of its twin doors the design of the stone gate can only be described as eerie. Its odd design wasn't the only thing that made it seem far from ordinary as its entirety is constantly giving off an archaic air almost as if it had existed during an age that is just as old as the Original Monarchs.

Although the events that had just transpired takes a bit of time to describe not even a full minute had gone by from the moment in which the Yaksha like entity had made its appearance till now.

"Strange..."

Looking towards the gate Xuan Nuo mutters his thoughts.

Beyond the double doors of this stone gate Xuan Nuo senses the presence of a formidable power that is patiently waiting for their invite into this battle.

What Xuan Nuo finds strange is this same exact presence for it causes a sense of nostalgia to well up in his heart.

But this nostalgia wasn't something positive as it is accompanied by a sense of danger that would only be felt when one is confronted with a powerful adversary of the highest level.

Throughout Xuan Nuo's life there has only been one time in which he had felt this sort of danger and that was when he had met the Asura Monarch for the first time.
