Realizing just sort of foe he is facing Ji Di Tian places his right hand over the sword wounds on his chest.
Maybe it was frustration but these wounds that were lashed upon him by Duo Tian seems to burn with an irresistible itch.
Against an opponent that is theoretically his equal while he himself has already sustained such heavy injuries can only be seen as unwise but-
"Straighten your back, you haven't lost your will to battle yet have you?"
Assuming a stance with Wang Nian directed towards Ji Di Tian Duo Tian taunts the former.
Compared to the time in which the ten Original Monarchs' reign were in their prime the current world is a vastly different place in which there are numerous Half-Monarchs lying in dormant.
These hidden figures represent the potential rise of a new monarch that is comparable to the original ten just by continuing to exist and they are the sort of individuals that Ji Di Tian has continued to maintain a wary attitude towards.
But contrary to Ji Di Tian's wariness towards these hidden figures Ji Tian Huang eyes them with the attitude of a herder. To him such powerful practitioners are considered the highest quality livestock.
"..."
Thinking about these hidden figures along with the attitudes that the two Absolute Monarchs have towards them a strange gleam emanates from Duo Tian's eyes.
One of the reasons why he is putting so much effort into fighting Ji Di Tian is related to these hidden individuals.
However-
"Time flows dispassionately for the natural orders of the world halts for none, but regardless of one's ever changing environment the fundamental matters of life, "survival" must always be one's first priority, in other words... Competition regardless of their form must be weeded out," taught to him by Li Jiu Tian this is a life principle that Duo Tian has lived by since his birth.
There's no doubt that this is a very cold and logical principle to live by, but its efficiency is second to none when one is walking on the unstable path of a ruler.
Cold and uncaring, for what reason does the brave have to ally themselves with cowards that would abandon the ship in the face of a deadly storm?
The first two words and the question that follow perfectly describes Duo Tian's attitude against the hidden Half-Monarchs that don't possess the courage to test the Original Monarchs' uncharted waters themselves.
If they wish to continue to hide themselves and put on a façade of being some mysterious sage until the very end they might as well become the targets that can allow Ji Di Tian to vent out his fury.
One has all the rights to think ill of Duo Tian who is wishing death upon some faceless strangers.
But despite how twisted his reasoning in wanting to use a tool to kill others may be he isn't a demon, but that's also not to say that he is a kind-hearted buddha either.
All he is is a sentient lifeform moving for his own selfish goals of wanting to weed out the potential competitors that may attempt to overthrow him in the future.
[...]
Drawing in a deep breath Ji Di Tian lowers his right hand as his figure flickers for a brief instance and following this he reappears less than ten meters away from Duo Tian.
(You and the others shall be the insurers of Our future reign, so act as Our tool and slaughter out of fear.)
Meeting Ji Di Tian's gaze head-on this is the thought that crosses Duo Tian's mind as his figure flickers in the same manner to close the remaining distance that separates him from the former.
To sow the seed of fear in Ji Di Tian's heart Duo Tian needed to crush their will first. Only then would he be able to manipulate the former into thinking that his creations must be eradicated at his earliest convenience.
"..."

Relying on his physical strength alone Duo Tian transforms into a streak of light and charges towards Ji Di Tian.
In response to his opponent's demonstration of speed Ji Di Tian does the same and following this-
*Boom...! Kakaka! Boom...! Kakaka! Boom...! Kakaka! Boom...! Kakaka! Boom...! Kakaka!* though the exchanges that occurred between the two sides are difficult to keep track of the deafening sound of violent blasts going off along with the sight of the dimensional walls being shattered are all that is needed for one to imagine just how fierce the two light streaks are clashing in their intent to reap the other's neck.
(Even if I manage to kill his current body wouldn't he just create another body through that?)
Amidst this fierce exchange of blows Ji Di Tian quickly realizes the possibilities of this as he directs a brief glance at Duo Tian's true body that is the egg-shaped Divine Armament.
"Still have the time to scheme? If We were you We'd worry about the opponent creating another body after killing the one in front of Us first."
Following Duo Tian's words that are spoken with a frosty tone his speed erupts again.
