It really is unexpected that he would use our attacks to help himself in compressing the rampant energy making it easier for him to swallow it. Well... Not like that had too great of an effect on our plans. Having to digest all that energy means his body is in an extremely volatile state right now so it might even be of help to us.)

Understanding the situation inside of the black hole through his connection with Yi Hua Luo mutters these words beneath his breath before he tosses out five paper talismans that arranged themselves into a formation in front of him.

The shape of this formation would resemble the form of a five-pointed star should one draw a line to connect each of the talismans together.

[Since we all share a common enemy why don't we cooperate a bit?]

Looking to the three who are here Hua Luo calls out to them knowing fully that they will not be able to refuse him under the current circumstances.

Compared to the Asura Monarch who gives a vocal word of agreement Chong Tianzi and Cang Xue chooses to remain silent but the expression on their faces was all the answer that Hua Luo needed.

Muttering a command beneath his breath Ji Di Tian observes for any changes in the sea of mist only to find out-

(This mist... Looks like it has isolated the areas it covers in a domain of its own which makes it difficult for me to control this dimension through commands. ...Usage of my divine senses also seems to be limited unless I strain myself a bit.)

Thinking things through Ji Di Tian does decide to strain himself a bit as he intrusively spreads his divine senses outwards to do a thorough scan of the area.

(They've set up a formation of some kind.)

Noticing several paper talismans floating about Ji Di Tian immediately recognizes them to be the parts that made up a magic formation.

(A formation made from scratch without any pre-existing roots to act as its foundations?)

Examining this formation Ji Di Tian frowns from being unable to recognize its functions.

(How much effort did it take to create the concept of this formation and why are they going through so much effort to hide its basic functionalities from me? What are they planning?)

Sensing there to be a devious ploy behind the efforts of making this formation so foreign to him Ji Di Tian felt a greater sense of wariness towards the five who had been so bold as to challenge him when their combined strength amounted to nothing before his.

(Judging by the parts of this formation that I do recognize...)

Just as Ji Di Tian wanted to continue examining the formation to determine what its functions might be-

[Coming out of hiding so soon?]

Sensing the air of demonic Qi Ji Di Tian turns his head around to find the demonic self in the process of bringing his blade down.

[Hm?]

Clenching a fist Ji Di Tian is just about to raise his left hand to throw out a punch but he notices that a vast number of threads with hair like thinness has already been wrapped around his body as a means to restraint his movements.

To make matters worse on the opposite end of the threads azure colored spirit energy are ignited and riding these threads this energy begins to make its way towards him!

*Thump. Thump. Thump. Thump. Thump.* along with the demonic self who is closing in the figure of Die Fei appears to the left of Ji Di Tian as she plucks the strings of the zither with practiced familiarity and sends out seven waves of sword Qi that takes on the form of crescent moons!

*...!!!* in the span of time it takes to blink the Sha Luo blood sword along with the seven waves of sword Qi lands upon Ji Di Tian's body however-

(Tsk...! Even with this much damage his body is still this difficult to cut through?)

Clicking his tongue the demonic self immediately begins to back away from Ji Di Tian as he felt a numbing sensation on his hands that almost caused him to drop the Sha Luo blood sword.

*...! ...! ...! ...! ...! ...! ...!* as for the seven waves of sword Qi none of them managed to land a single cut on Ji Di Tian as they shatter on contact!

Looking to the demonic self with a cold gleam in his eyes Ji Di Tian breaks off the restraints that held back his movements just before the azure colored spirit energy can reach him.

Clenching his left hand back into the form of a fist a powerful force of suction emanates from it as Ji Di Tian directs it towards the demonic self.

[...!]

Under the effects of this force the demonic self finds his body being dragged towards Ji Di Tian without any way to resist!

*!!!* but just as there was only a meter of distance separating the demonic self from Ji Di Tian the Ancient Immortal Spear pierces through the mist from above and stabs onto the top of Ji Di Tian's left hand!

Though the spear didn't manage to pierce through Ji Di Tian's hand it did manage to cause a shift in the direction it was pointing towards resulting in the force of suction that is dragging the demonic self towards the former to weaken by a small degree.

*Boom!!!* knowing that this wasn't enough to get the demonic self out of trouble Xiao Ju Hong appears behind the spear and sends out a punch that drives the weapon down further!

With Ji Di Tian's hand completely out of alignment to demonic self the latter quickly takes advantage of this and rotates his cultivation base to make a full retreat!

Looking upwards Ji Di Tian felt a hint of danger upon meeting Xiao Ju Hong's red eyes.

*Kakaka!*

Hearing the sound of an object cracking Ji Di Tian looks to the Ancient Immortal Spear that is currently pushing down on his left hand.

Similar to the carapace of an insect when molting the red portions of the spear's head begins to break.

This isn't caused by the weapon being unable to endure the force that was used to drive it against Ji Di Tian's hand, instead-

*Kakakakakaka!!!* as the red portions of the spearhead breaks off completely the white portion of its blade begins to unfold.

Slanted veins spreading from a single spine covers the unfolded blade whose design is very much reminiscent of a leaf.

[This weapon...!]

As soon as the blade solidifies its form it immediately begins to release a golden shine and to Ji Di Tian's astonishment he can feel his life essence being drained from his body at a rapid rate.

In the blink of an eye Ji Di Tian's arm becomes as thin as a tree branch that even a child could snap with little to no effort!
