As the dark spear draws closer and closer to him Chong Tianzi quickly realized who the sudden attacker is.

[Aren't you underestimating me a bit too much?]

Smiling beneath his mask Chong Tianzi moves his left hand in a ghostly manner and somehow grasps the dark spear an inch away from impaling his left eye.

This means to say that his current condition of peak strength is no different from both Hua Luo and the Asura Monarch and towards this Chong Tianzi is left with a sour taste in his mouth.

Without moving his head Chong Tianzi's eyes gave off a light of contempt as his right fist is raised in a subtle manner seemingly without any kind of hostile intent behind it.

Although Chong Tianzi had tried to mask his intent Hua Luo takes immediate notice of the light in the former's eyes causing him to press his brows together in a quizzical manner.

Having lived for this long it goes without saying that Hua Luo's senses for danger is as honed as it could be so it didn't take him long to choose to relinquish his grip on the spear and back away however-

Maintaining his hold over the spear Chong Tianzi raises his right fist fully in the next instance and throws out a simple punch.

*...!!!!!* although this punch didn't manage to connect with Hua Luo's body the moment Chong Tianzi's right arm is straightened completely the former felt as if the world itself is attempting to crush his body by constantly compressing itself with him at its center!

Feeling pressure homing in on him from all sides Hua Luo grits his teeth and-

The expression on Hua Luo's face wasn't the sort of expression that a person wanting to beg for their life would make.

Hua Luo begins to mutter a string of words beneath his breath.

The instance Hua Luo managed to put a decent gap between Chong Tianzi and himself the unknown gaze subsides and as this gaze withdraws itself one can evidently pick up on the sound of a faint sigh if they strain their ears.

Though this sigh gave the person who had just used their gaze to terrorize Chong Tianzi a weak impression neither of the two Original Monarchs felt like they could lower their vigilance when the power behind that gaze was still so clear in their minds as they both looked to Hua Luo with a light of wariness.

[What was that just now?]

Astonishment fills the eyes of both Chong Tianzi and the Asura Monarch.

Neither of them knew from where that source of hostile intent had originated from but the power behind it felt comparable to their prime when being modest.

(...Did Mo Ye Zi managed to revive after all of us went into a deep slumber?)

An expression of thought appears on the Asura Monarch's face as this idea crosses his mind.

(No, the possibility of that doesn't seem very likely.)

The same thought appears in Chong Tianzi's mind.

Being the only one who knew what that unknown gaze had been and sensing the two Original Monarchs in thought Hua Luo outwardly gave off the impression of being very pleased with himself but-

(Looks like old age really is getting to me along with not as accustomed to combat as I was in the past.)

Inwardly reprimanding himself and sighing with a hint of bitterness Hua Luo's outward expression turns focused.

No one knew better than him that the chant he just used wasn't something that could be used repeatedly for it draws upon a valuable resource.
