[You all...!]

With the entirety of this dimension painted in the colors of azure Ji Di Tian abruptly finds himself under the joint attack of five individuals.

[...]

Regaining his composure quickly Ji Di Tian assesses the situation by first determining which of these five individuals posed the greatest threat to him.

(In terms of strength the one with the red sword and the feather fan is to look out for. As for the other three...)

Instinctively Ji Di Tian wanted to say that the ruby horned Yaksha should be the third person to be on guard against for they possessed the Yaksha Monarch's air but-

(This red eyed girl...)

Looking towards Xiao Ju Hong Ji Di Tian can't help but feel as if there was something odd about her.

Although her cultivation base was weaker than the first three her murderous intent was by far the strongest.

Sometimes a person's cultivation base wasn't the determining factor in deciding the victor of a battle for there are several cases in which a weaker practitioner manages to triumph against someone that should be above them in power.

Experience, knowledge, and the ability to make the correct decisions in the ever changing flow of combat, these are three of the few factors that can be used to raise a person's strength in battle.

But there is another means that is more direct and less time consuming to acquire and that is-

(No, she can't possibly harm me on her own but there's something on her person that can.)

A powerful weapon is most often times the most effective means to boost a practitioner's combat abilities.

[...]

Having decided upon his order of priorities Ji Di Tian raises his mangled arms as the five attackers continue to shorten the gap that separates them.

[****!]

A ripple of energy spreads with Ji Di Tian at its center and as soon as this fluctuation of energy passes by the bodies of the five attackers they each felt as if they were suddenly locked inside of an airtight box.

[...!]

(It's slower than usual...)

Although the activation of his command had been instantaneously the amount of time required for this world to process it had been off.

Under ordinary circumstances Yi who is closest to Ji Di Tian at this time shouldn't have even been able to get within a meter of him upon the activation of this command.

But despite this latency that was created from the result of this dimension being in an unstable state the command was indeed heeded to.

[**** ****!]

At the enactment of Ji Di Tian's second command the five attackers felt a force akin to water currents pushing against the containers they were imprisoned in and blinking their eyes in confusion they abruptly found themselves arranged in a linear formation that positions them directly in front of Ji Di Tian's line of sight.

[...]

Standing at the forefront of this linear formation is Ye Gui Feng and Yi and without giving the two any time to react Ji Di Tian has already begun to move as he appears right in front of them with only an inch separating his hands from their faces!

[...!]

In the amount of time required for sparks to fly Yi performs a simplistic incantation gesture before he and Ye Gui Feng's body vanished from the spot only to have two pieces of white Go stones substituting in for them.

*Boom!!! Boom!!!* as soon as Ji Di Tian closes his hands around the stones they detonate creating a chalk like sea of mist that obscures the figures of his five attackers!

[...]

By the time Ji Di Tian had recovered from the situation his five attackers had already scattered into the expanding sea of mist.

[You humans are truly a pain to deal with.]

[We're naturally weak and are afraid of death. If we don't come up with creative means to preserve our lives from harm how could we have possibly dominated this world you monarchs had created?]

Under the effects of this mist Yi's voice seems to come from multiple directions making it difficult for Ji Di Tian to accurately determine his location.

[Dominate this world? Do not think so highly of yourselves.]

[I'll say the same to you. Those wounds must really be making things difficult for you aren't they? If you didn't have them weighing you down you could have easily wiped us out at any given moment. Tell me, doesn't every bit of movement under your current conditions bring you pain? The reason you chose to isolate yourself inside of this world is because you are able to control it as your crippled limbs, so it's easier for you to deal with those outside.]

With a biting tone of voice the demonic self speaks without holding anything back.

[Had you let the spirit blade impale you I'd be worried but since you chose to stop it from approaching you you must really be fearful of it aren't you?]

*Kakaka...* being spoken to in such a way by the demonic self and Ye Gui Feng a light of coldness flashes from Ji Di Tian's eyes as tiny fragments of his corroded right hand chips off.

[...]

Having come into direct contact with the spirit blade Ji Di Tian's instinctive reaction towards the azure colored spirit energy was to avoid it at all costs.

This is especially so when he is still in the process of assimilating with the Absolute Laws he obtained from both the Asura Monarch and Chong Tianzi.
