To the ears of mortals this chorus would surely sound like the wails of numerous ghosts and just as it would seem like it will continue-

There was little need for him to turn his head around to see the attacker for it could only be Akatuosi who had unleashed a wave of sword Qi at him from a distance.

Narrowing his eyes Akatuosi frowns as an invisible shadow's body outline gradually comes into view and as the wave of sword Qi approaches this shadow a miserable shriek is transmitted into his ears.

Following this shriek pale blue splatters of blood erupts from the body that was divided in half.

The monster that was just turned into a corpse is something that Akatuosi is familiar with for it was same unknown creature that Ji Di Tian had used to distract Yuzao Qian in the very beginning.

[Oh?]

Just as Akatuosi thought that his sword Qi would continue its approach to cut Ji Di Tian in half the corpse of the odd creature releases an energy that distorts the dimensional fabrics and forcefully tears open a black hole that sucks the sword Qi into its maw.

*...! ...! ...! ...! Boom!* as the creature's body is also starting to be dragged into the black hole Akatuosi grabs the handle of his blade and unleashes a total of four cuts that draws out the shape of a square that surrounds the black hole within itself and upon retracting his blade into its scabbard the square detonates!

Having cleared the black hole away in a forceful manner Akatuosi closes in on Ji Di Tian with a single step to place the latter into the range of his next attack.

But just as Akatuosi is about to draw his blade the back of the figure in front of him blurs.

Noticing a soft bit of wind to his side Akatuosi turns to the right and the abrupt sensation of something halting his draw is felt by his right hand.

With his right hand continuing to hold the bamboo flute in the direction of Yuzao Qian Ji Di Tian had used his left hand to hold back Akatuosi's nodachi that has already revealed a quarter of its blade.

Looking towards the direction of Duo Tian and seeing the two celestial bodies that have merged to form a single body Ji Di Tian frowns.

Doing so in the amount of time that he has right now is impossible unless he can increase his strength to the point in which he can overwhelm the combined powers of Yuzao Qian and Akatuosi.

In the span of a single second numerous thoughts went through Ji Di Tian's head.

Should he choose to unleash enough power to overwhelm Yuzao Qian and Akatuosi then he would be forced to enter a weakened state.

(Even if I become weaker than what I am now I need not worry about the other monarchs finding trouble with me but...)

Ji Tian Huang is Ji Di Tian's sole concern in that state.

(I suppose after this I'll have to go into hiding until my strength recovers.)
