Standing outside of the residence and looking up at the skies Ye Gui Feng finds the sight above his head to be rather bizarre for only a small portion of the sky is actually corresponding to the natural flow of time.

Constricting his eyes Ye Gui Feng can sense that the demonic self has departed from the Ni Liu Star Region.

As for where the demonic self is headed that is unknown to Ye Gui Feng.

"Has Xiao Lian not returned yet?"

Stepping out of the residence Xiao Ju Hong raises this question to which Ye Gui Feng shook his head.

[I know she hasn't left the perimeters of the unaffected area and that Die Fei is beside her.]

"I see."

Looking up at the same sky Xiao Ju Hong finds this to be a good time to bring up a certain matter.

"About the other..."

[He's...]

"..."

[...]

Despite wanting to talk about the same topic neither of them knew just where they should even begin.

"...Is he an actual clone of you?"

[...Sort of and sort of not at the same time. He's created from the Yaksha Monarch's blood and... My tainted instincts.]

Pressing his hand against his scalp Ye Gui Feng realized that his explanation will probably not make a lot of sense but it was the best that he could do before continuing-

[When I first created that demonic self I named him Xie Huangzi and upon the creation of his Dao Road he somehow gained a sense of self-conscience. At the time his conscience wasn't anything that I needed to worry about because given enough time that conscience would have been wiped away but because of the Yaksha Monarch's blood that undeveloped conscience managed to gain maturity in an instance.]

As he is still unfamiliar with how Absolute Laws work Ye Gui Feng finds this to be the most simplistic way of explaining how the demonic self had been born.

"Will he be trouble in the future?"

[I can't say for certain but the chances of that being the case... If I were to be honest it's rather high. But his hostility should be directed at me alone so-]

"I can't write him off as a complete fake but I do know for a fact that the you standing beside me right now is indeed the real you. At least to me it feels that way."

Towards the meaningful gaze that is directed at him by Xiao Ju Hong Ye Gui Feng's expression of uncertainty vanishes and replacing it is a more solemn look.

[If he and I must settle for there to be only one of us in this world then I'll make sure that the one standing in the end will be me.]

Hearing these words of assurance Xiao Ju Hong smiles faintly.

"About the Celestial Spirit that gave you his legacy, what was his name again?"

Muttering this name a strange light emanates from Xiao Ju Hong's eyes as she firmly engraves the name to her memory.

Just as Ye Gui Feng wanted to press the question a bit further Bai Yuechu steps out of the residence.

[Is something the matter?]

Realizing the intent of Bai Yuechu that is hidden behind these words Ye Gui Feng is somewhat at a loss.

"Formalities is something that needs to be gotten out of the way ahead of time. The longer it is dragged out the more troublesome it will be later."

[Very well then.]

As Bai Yuechu leaves through the front door Ye Gui Feng's thoughts went back to the demonic self and Die Fei.

Even now he doesn't know just what it is that the demonic self and Die Fei had been talking about but-

As an old speculation of his resurfaces Ye Gui Feng is at a loss as to how he should interact with Die Fei once she returns should that speculation be true.

"Yi was it?"

[Yes.]

As the topic shifts the matter of Yi being a disciple of Hua Luo's distracts Ye Gui Feng from the matters involving Die Fei.

[There seems to be a blank in my head whenever I think about this matter.]

"Xiao Lian felt that Yi didn't have any hostile intents. Do you think that's true?"

[If he did have hostile intentions I feel like he wouldn't have bothered to actually defend the courtyard amidst that battle. He could have readily snatched Xiao Lian away and escaped with his unusual tricks.]

"We seem to owe him and his master a debt then. Actually..."

"I don't know why but I feel like I've met Hua Luo before. Yi as well."

Despite the expression of uncertainty on Xiao Ju Hong's face she felt rather sure that at some point during her life she had indeed met Hua Luo and Yi before.

[Perhaps in another lifetime?]

"Maybe."

Having recovered most of her memories as a member of the Miao family Xiao Ju Hong knew that there is still a trove of additional memories that she has yet to reclaim and these memories could very well have involved Hua Luo and his disciple.
