Having agreed to Long Feng Zi's request Yi and Bai Yuechu leaves with Bai Shuang.

With Bai Shuang still under the effects of frozen time Yi places him into a storage device that can accommodating a living person.

[...]

Staring at the Mountain of Dragons and Phoenixes Yi sensed that this may very well be the last time that he'll meet Long Feng Zi under peaceful circumstances.

The next time they meet-

"If this child is what kept him from turning insane wouldn't taking him away mean...?"

[An incurable disease's eruption may be stalled with proper medication but if its roots are never cut it wouldn't be deserving of its claims to be incurable.]

"...Then he'll no longer be the Long Feng Zi we met today the next time we meet him?"

[He handed Bai Shuang to me precisely because he sensed that his time is nearly up. I don't think any father would want their child to remember them in a negative light. In due time this world will be forced to kneel whether that be because of him or...]

Turning away from Bai Yuechu Yi looks off into the distance with a sharp gleam in his eyes.

Infighting within a world is all but common practice amongst its inhabitants and because the inhabitants are often distracted by each other's schemes they fail to recognize outside threats.

"You don't seem like the type to care for a child long term. What do you have planned?"

[...]

Facing this difficult to answer that is thrown out by Bai Yuechu question Yi is somewhat at a loss.

[I'll give him some useful guidance as he is my grand-disciple. As for what comes after... That will be for him to decide.]

"And what if he decides to take revenge?"

Recalling how Long Feng Zi had said that the curse will inevitably make Bai Shuang suffer in the future the possibilities of this child exacting revenge against Na Jia is highly possible.

Even if Bai Shuang's memories of Long Feng Zi had been sealed it will probably be unraveled some time in the future and when that time comes it will be the child's time to decide on what he wishes to do.

[An eye for an eye makes the world go blind, but what if the world itself is already blind? What purposes do these words of advice serve other than to state the obvious? Avengers are aplenty in the cultivation world but the number of avengers who can figure out their life's purpose after achieving their vengeance is as rare as phoenix feathers and kirin horns. At the very least I want Bai Shuang to have something else in mind while taking the vengeance route.]

"The way you're phrasing it sounds as if his decision to take vengeance has already been set in stone and all you can do is make sure he doesn't go blind amidst his vengeance."

[That truly is all that I can do for him. My master may have said to do what I want from now on but I am still duty bound to a mountain of tasks. I'm perfectly fine with being seen as cruel in abandoning a child to torment. After all those that choose to associate themselves with the Original Monarchs in any way, shape, or form don't tend to lead good lives and aren't anything decent for the most part.]

"Even if their association with an Original Monarch isn't by choice?"

[Choices in life may seem plentiful at a glance but most of them matter very little in the grand scheme of things.]

"..."

At this point a day had already gone by but having met with Long Feng Zi just now made it seem as if more than a week had passed for Yi who obtained a firmer grasp over the amount of time that has passed since he was last active.

[...]

Thinking about this Yi felt a splitting headache. Not counting the number of years that he had slept through his actual age would be considered young by most standards.

[Let us return to the Starry Seas. I know that I have some explaining to do for him.]
