Hearing Ye Gui Feng's answer that couldn't be anything more than selfish a series of thoughts appeared in the Asura Monarch's mind.

Should a person with a heart of righteousness hear this sort of answer they would instantly open their mouth and curse.

The year Ye Gui Feng made his announcement to the entirety of the Starry Seas that he didn't care about any of the regions aside from his own numerous people had voiced their complaints.

Having been born in the same world, sharing the same roots, and suffering under the same enemies that dwell on Primordial Continent shouldn't he as the most powerful existence of this realm shelter the Starry Seas under his wing?

Doing such a thing is considered noble but anyone smart enough to think for themselves would realize this is merely strangers attempting to leech off a person of great influence. None of these strangers would think twice about abandoning ship when the situation turns for the worse.

That being said-

Why should he act for a billion strangers that he has never met before?

What right did these strangers have to demand for his protection?

Acting out of personal interest has always been a natural part of the universe's ever-growing history.

Where there are intelligent lifeforms there will always be competition so it shouldn't be strange for Ye Gui Feng to want to only act for himself.

[Was the answer to your satisfaction?]

Regaining control of the shared body Hua Luo asks.

There was little need for the Asura Monarch to complain about Ye Gui Feng's answer.

As an existence that has lived since time immemorial and is one of the natural rulers of this universe the Asura Monarch couldn't care less about the lifeforms that came into being under him and his peers' reign.

The earliest lifeforms intelligent or not are merely things that the Original Monarchs had created on a whim.

The mindset they had at the time of creating these lifeforms might have been similar to an innocent child wanting to raise a pet and the result of this thought had caused the myriad lifeforms to come into being.

And like a child that has grown tired of raising these pets not caring about the myriad lifeforms could be thought of as the Original Monarchs being irresponsible but who possessed any rights to judge them for it?

Weak and fragile, these labels can easily be placed onto most of the myriad lifeforms.

But amongst the many that exists there are a small number of exceptions who stand out.

Seven, out of the many that exists in this plane only seven have been selected by the Asura Monarch to act as the core of his legion.

This number is by no means high but appropriate for it serves as a testament to how strict the Original Monarchs are when selecting aides.

However, aides and titles of similar significance is merely one of the few categories a person can fall under in the eyes of the Original Monarchs.

[Looking back I don't think any of us could have expected the "pets" we raised that day to rebel against us.]

Towards the rebellion of the early masses the act of killing them to the Original Monarchs was no different from parents disciplining their children that were misbehaving.

At the time the concept of Half-Monarchs didn't even exist for no one possessed the rights to bear that title so-

["Enemy" isn't a label that we use often.]

The highest category an individual can fall under is either an enemy or an equal, neither of which is a label that the Original Monarchs can tag onto an individual lightly.

With a thoughtful radiance in his eyes the Asura Monarch looks to Hua Luo.

Although this human's cultivation base has yet to reach the level of an Original Monarch they were qualified to ascend given enough time.

Whether this person becomes an enemy or an equal after that is unknown but regardless of the outcome both were amusing to the Asura Monarch.

Other than the obvious sense of selfishness in Ye Gui Feng's answer there was a domineering will behind it that won't yield to anyone or anything.

Possessing a powerful cultivation base is important but having this sort of will is of greater importance if one wishes to ascend.

Without saying another word to Hua Luo the Asura Monarch takes a single step forward and appears at the end of the lightning bolt.

[Shura you...!]

Seeing the Asura Monarch in front of him Chong Tianzi's eyes widen with alarm. Him being here meant he is willing to cooperate with Hua Luo.

[Do you seriously intend to work with this human? Are you that desperate? This is simply idiocy!]

[There's a fine line between idiocy and lunacy. I'm willing to act with lunacy today if it can bring about a change to my old domain.]

With a light smile on his face Hua Luo appears by the side of the Asura Monarch and points to the Nether Realm Warship.

[Main battery take aim.]

The single main artillery left on the warship turns to aim at Chong Tianzi's back.

Immediately all the energy unique to Absolute Laws is absorbed by the main cannon as it begins to charge itself.
