Shaking off the shackles of frozen time Long Feng Zi abruptly recovers from his stasis and as his vision begins to adjust itself to his surroundings wariness immediately arises in his heart as he looks to the three figures before him with constricted eyes.

If these three individuals are able to approach him during that period of halted time they couldn't possibly possess ordinary backgrounds. At the same time this also indirectly refers to the strength they possess.

As the blur that distorts his vision dissipates and he comes to see Yi's face clearly Long Feng Zi's body gives off a visible tremor.

Inwardly Yi felt somewhat strange to hear himself say such words but considering the relationship between him and Long Feng Zi it also seems rather appropriate.

Placing his hands behind his back while straightening his posture an air of calm dignity emanates from Yi.

In that instance all sense of regality vanishes from Long Feng Zi as he drops onto his knees and cups his hands towards Yi.

"The furnace whose master is the heaven is referring to our world and the earth giving birth to the five metal elements is referring to the natural resources in our environment."

[What is the purpose of the furnace?]

"To refine the world in accordance to the heaven's will."

As a smile of satisfaction appears on Yi's face he gives a light nod.

"Disciple greets master."

Upon Long Feng Zi's performance of a single bow Yi immediately raises his left hand and a gentle force of energy lifts the former off the ground.

[No need for a second and third bow. I'm not one to hold much regards for ceremonial matters.]

A smile forms on Long Feng Zi's face. This display of carefreeness by Yi aligns with his original impressions.

"..."

Watching the exchange between Yi and Long Feng Zi Bai Yuechu can't help but be in shock however he quickly conceals his surprise and maintains his silence.

"Refining the world in accordance to the heaven's will. A fine understanding of those words considering how the world is."

Turning to Duo Tian Long Feng Zi is immediately swept by a feeling of discomfort that originates from his very soul.

This abnormal entity that sits before him is an existence capable of threatening a genuine monarch and a single whim is all it would take for them to end him.

"Afraid of me are you? Yes, why wouldn't you be?"

Speaking in an understanding tone no secret seems capable of evading Duo Tian's ominous eyes, and that may very well be the case for the next words spoken by the former-

"I can very clearly sense Na Jia's presence on you."

Causes Long Feng Zi to sigh in acknowledgement.

Though surprised by Long Feng Zi's statement Yi remains silent as he sweeps a glance at his disciple.

So much time has passed since he was last active in the world so changes that may have occurred to those that he had been familiar with in the past are inevitable.

"You consider it a curse do you? If you were to answer me honestly did you ever at one point thought of it to be a blessing?"

Towards this question Long Feng Zi shakes his head in denial.

"Because of this curse my strength has soared. In fact I can say for certain that outside of a few exceptions no one is my match in this world. But even then how could I possibly consider it to be a blessing? The day I received this curse was also the day in which I lost everything. With your highness's cultivation you must have already seen through the secrets of my domain."

"Indeed. Nothing exists on this barren land. It is as dead as it can possibly be. All that surrounds this mountain, be they architectural structures or the very people that are currently frozen on the streets, all are nothing more than an illusion. Perhaps they had existed in the distant past but in the present, this entire domain is nothing more than a reminiscent man's dream forcefully brought into the realms of reality."

*...!* a sound similar to the noise made when glass is shattered can be detected by the ears.

Following this sound the world that surrounds the group slowly starts to turn ashen in color.

"Does your highness think me to be a fool in my futile attempt to replicate the past and have it continue to stretch its unjustified existence into the present?"

As Long Feng Zi recovers from Duo Tian's criticism the decay of the world slows to a halt.

"You are only a fool if you claim to be one yourself under these circumstances. Overcoming the death of your entire household isn't easy and we all have different ways to mourn such losses. The question that should be asked of yourself in the present is how long do you intend to mourn before you can move on from your losses. Let me redirect your question back at you. Do you think yourself to be a fool for mourning the deaths of your clansmen?"
