Recovering from his state of shock Ji Di Tian immediately backs away from the Ancient Immortal Spear before looking towards it with the highest degree of caution.

(There's no doubt that the Absolute Law imbued in that spear belongs to Tian Huang, but he couldn't possibly have created this weapon... Even if he did he wouldn't be so careless as to lose it or give it to a human.)

A sense of confusion clouds Ji Di Tian's head but rather quickly he notices a hint behind the origins of this weapon by looking at the barely visible text that is carved onto the spine of the spearhead.

It was a three-character line that forms the name of a certain individual.

(Shǔ Tiān Xiǎo (曙天晓), so this weapon is her handiwork. Then the Absolute Law that is imbued to it must have come from Li Jiu Tian.)

Li Jiu Tian, recalling this name Ji Di Tian can't help but feel a series of odd emotions for this person's entire existence had gone counter to the very idea of logic when they should have originally been a part of Ji Tian Huang.

Picking up the spear and absorbing the life energy it had plundered from Ji Di Tian Xiao Ju Hong felt as if she had swallowed an extremely potent form of immortal medicine causing her to feel a sense of lightheadedness, but she quickly shakes off this feeling and retreats into the mist along with the others.

(They chose to attack me right as I was about to examine that formation.)

With how crafty the enemies are this couldn't possibly be a coincidence, they must have purposefully chosen that time to attack.

(Assuming this formation to be a major part of their schemes it would be wise to destroy it before they can hope to finish it.)

Just as this thought crosses Ji Di Tian's mind Ye Gui Feng had seemingly read the former's intentions ahead of time as he boldly chooses to reveal himself to them.

Without so much as a hint of hesitation Ye Gui Feng throws the sword in his hand towards Ji Di Tian and towards the weapon's approach-

Ji Di Tian tilts his head slightly with the intent to evade however-

*...!* just as the sword is about to fly pass his head it ends up displacing itself with Ye Gui Feng.

By the time Ji Di Tian had realized that Ye Gui Feng was already beside him the latter's fist that is covered in the azure colored spirit energy was already less than an inch away from landing!

"..."

Exploiting this opportunity Xiao Ju Hong appears on the opposite side and lunges the Ancient Immortal Spear forward!

*!!!* as the sword Ye Gui Feng had thrown out continues to approach him from the front Ji Di Tian narrows his eyes with a venomous gleam as he rotates his cultivation base and sends out a powerful blast of energy that pushes back the two enemies who had encircled him!

*!!!* hit by this blast both Ye Gui Feng and Xiao Ju Hong felt a mountainous force of pressure smashing onto their chests whereas the incoming blade is thrown backwards from the impact!

Towards Ji Di Tian's sudden counter Ye Gui Feng manages to stabilize the state of his body quickly but for Xiao Ju Hong who didn't possess as powerful of a cultivation base or a physical body that was as durable she couldn't stop herself from spewing out a mouthful of blood!

(Still not dead?)

Seeing as how the two are both still alive and are continuing to press in on him Ji Di Tian can't help but be somewhat astonished by how much his strength had dropped as a result of his wounds.

(If once isn't enough then what about another?)

*!!!* spreading his arms apart Ji Di Tian launches the second wave of his attack with the intent to finish the pair off for good however-

Both the demonic self and Die Fei appears behind Ye Gui Feng and Xiao Ju Hong respectively and as the latter pair presses their hands onto the former pair's back a burst of energy fills Ye Gui Feng and Xiao Ju Hong's bodies as they fought back against Ji Di Tian's attack in union!

Tightening her grip over the Ancient Immortal Spear and borrowing the power of the life energy it had plundered from Ji Di Tian Xiao Ju Hong's wounds healed rapidly while the spearhead ignites itself in a shroud of white radiance!

*...! ...! ...!* as this white radiance solidifies its shape into the form of a lance it begins to inch its way towards Ji Di Tian by dividing the invisible wall that is blocking its path!

Similarly with the support of the demonic self the azure colored spirit energy that shrouds Ye Gui Feng right fist increases in density and as both Ye Gui Feng and the demonic self's bodies give off a light of resonance it looked as if the two were about to meld into a single individual.

However, maybe it was because the link shared by Ye Gui Feng and the demonic self is still in an unstable state this fusion couldn't be perfected with the incomplete result being the manifestation of a shadowy figure that is emanating with azure radiance.

Looking at the head of this shadowy figure it was similar to that of a Yaksha with its two horns sticking outwards and as this figure begins to swell in size it ends up swallowing both Ye Gui Feng and the demonic self into its ghostly body creating a state of temporary fusion.

*...!!!!!* with her eyes giving off an eerie glow of blood colored radiance Xiao Ju Hong straightens her arms with a single snap forcing the Ancient Immortal Spear to puncture through the invisible wall but-

Before it could pierce his body Ji Di Tian creates a vortex on the palm of his left hand and sucks the weapon into his grasp before crushing the white radiance that shrouds it head!

(Everything should be in order now.)

Throwing a brief glance towards the bottom of Ji Di Tian's feet that is littered with most of the blood Xiao Ju Hong had spew out beforehand Ye Gui Feng draws the shadowy figure's fist back without giving Ji Di Tian any time to feel a hint of relief in having caught the first attack.

*...!!!!!* as the shadowy figure's fist lunges forth once more it breaks the air apart and towards this attack Ji Di Tian instinctively directs his right hand towards the direction it is coming from with the intent to block it but-

(Dammit...!)

Considering how this shadowy figure's body looks to be the azure colored spirit energy in a condensed form Ji Di Tian felt rather hesitant to capture this attack with his bare hand as it could very well result in the worsening of his wounds.
