A miserable shriek comes from within the central chambers of Exalted Celestial Gu Tian Hou's palace.

The interior temperature of Gu Tian Hou's chamber is constantly meant to be at a degree that rivals the sun all year round making it the ideal place for a practitioner of fire elemental arts to cultivate in.

The source of this rounded chamber's scorching heat is the colossal red gem that is socketed into the chamber's ceiling.

The mere fact that this gemstone is capable of releasing this much heat speaks for its value alone.

*Thud!* landing onto the ground like a sandbag a pool of his own blood is formed beneath his body.

His golden armor that fits tightly onto his skin has lost all traces of its original majesty as cracks littered its surface with chips and pieces of its plating missing.

"Misunderstanding! Senior this is all a misunderstanding!"

"Hahaha!"

From behind Gu Tian Hou comes Duo Tian's laughter.

"Misunderstanding? I've long since grown tired of hearing such words. If all the conflicts in this world can be resolved with this statement, why must there still be war?"

Sluggishly pushing his upper body off the ground Gu Tian Hou looks to the person behind him with eyes of terror.

He didn't know how this person managed to get into his chamber but upon the recovery of his senses the stranger had said that he had come here to collect the debt that is owed to him.

Towards this bold statement Gu Tian Hou as one of the nine Exalted Celestials of this continent naturally chose to reply with words of contempt.

But his attitude of contempt didn't hold for more than a split instance before an indescribable force of power had hammered onto his abdomen causing a large portion of his armor to shatter.

Realizing his mistake too late the stranger had already landed more than ten blows onto his body before hurling him onto the ground resulting in his current appearance that can only be described as embarrassingly miserable.

"Hmm."

Looking at the colossal gemstone that is socketed into the ceiling and is emanating what seems to be a limitless amount of heat Duo Tian raises his right hand and makes a grasping gesture.

As an invisible force of energy grips onto the gemstone the entirety of this chamber trembles violently.

The resistance that is offered by this chamber's structure didn't last for even a full second before the gemstone is forcefully extracted from its socket and without regards for Gu Tian Hou's expression of pain Duo Tian readily stores the gemstone away.

"Don't relax just yet big ape. I'm sure you have more treasures stored away."

"I can-"

Refusing to accept Gu Tian Hou's desire to hand over his valuables without a fight Duo Tian cuts him off.

"That's not how this works. From the very beginning I never needed to ask you for your permission to obtain your valuables. The moment you chose to disregard my claim you've lost all your chances to make a compromise. So-"

*Boom!* shrouding his fists in silver radiance Duo Tian appears by Gu Tian Hou's side and picks the bulky man off the ground by their hair in the next instance before proceeding to land a heavy blow to their chest.

*Klang...* the moment this blow lands the space around Gu Tian Hou distorts and from within the rift created by this distortion a sword of exquisite design falls onto the ground.

"This is...!"

Recognizing this sword to be one of his prized possessions Gu Tian Hou is astonished to discover that the rift had been connected directly to his personal storage space.

"I'll just beat all your treasures out of you like this."

At the same time in the palace of Fen Xian Jie-

"A mere fried chicken dares to play with fire in front of me? Laughable."

"Ahhhh!!!"

Trapped within a world of ashen colored Fox Fire Fen Xian Jie despite being a true phoenix of the purest bloodline can't do anything but scream in misery.

Similar to Gu Tian Hou Fen Xian Jie had rashly decided to respond to Duo Tian's claim about a debt with an attitude of contempt resulting in his current situation of being burned by Duo Tian's Fox Fire.

Snapping his fingers Duo Tian seals Fen Xian Jie's mouth.

Having been prevented from screaming Fen Xian Jie's eyes immediately turn bloodshot.

To the tormented screaming is one of the best ways to relieve themselves of pain but having had his mouth sealed he no longer had any method to vent out his suffering.
