As Ye Gui Feng lowers the lance of azure lightning it returns to the form of a right arm and having completed his task fatigue crushes down on his shoulders causing him to take three steps back.

Despite his exhaustion he still manages to raise his head and look towards Ji Di Tian and the white robed calligrapher.

[Him?]

Similarly to Ji Di Tian when he had seen the white robed calligrapher the Asura Monarch also reacted in disbelief.

[Hua Luo.]

Hearing his name said by Ji Di Tian the white robed calligrapher, Hua Luo smiles.

[Oh? Pleased to see that you still remember me. It seems like I've indeed made an impression upon you.]

Saying these words Hua Luo tosses the golden brush in his hand behind him and tracing the object in free fall Ye Gui Feng easily snatches it out of the air.

Looking at the brush that was originally Tu Chun Ye's lotus throne the question of why the former had left such a powerful treasure in this world appears in Ye Gui Feng's mind but considering how eccentric that person is one would probably never be able to guess his intentions.

[...]

Looking at Hua Luo closely Ji Di Tian can easily tell that the former doesn't possess a physical body at this time but despite this they cannot be labeled as a ghost either.

Compared to before a denser air of power related to Absolute Laws can be felt emanating from Hua Luo in his current state. In fact it might even be appropriate to say that his current state is an Absolute Law itself.

(The relationship between these two...)

As soon as this thought crosses Ji Di Tian's mind he turns his eyes towards Ye Gui Feng for a brief instance.

[I must say your current appearance... Only the word miserable can be used to describe it.]

A partially formed head and an upper body shrouded within a cloak of black mist, just as Hua Luo had described it Ji Di Tian's current appearance truly is the definition of misery.

Not even in his past battles against Ji Tian Huang would he have ever land himself in such a state and being reminded of this Ji Di Tian can't do anything but to remain silent.

"As We've mentioned before... It is time for this farce to come to an end."

Appearing by Hua Luo's side is Duo Tian who makes a grasping gesture towards the odd character that the former had drawn out.

Upon Ye Gui Feng splitting his body into three separate figures Hua Luo can instinctively sense Yi's eyes being focused upon his back.

There was an urge for him to turn his head around and look at his disciple one last time but in the end-

[...]

Hua Luo chooses to keep his eyes facing forward with a faint smile of reminiscence on his face as he reflects upon their first meeting.

[...]

Despite wanting to say something nothing felt appropriate so Yi can only choose to silently cup his hands together and give his mentor a respectful bow for words of farewell has already been said between them and anything more would only serve to make it more difficult to part.

[Perform your duty to send him off.]

A master and a disciple, this is the relationship between Hua Luo and Yi but the familial air that is shared between them made it seem more appropriate to think of them as father and son.

[...]

Acknowledging the words that Ye Gui Feng had said Yi straightens his back and performs a two-handed incantation gesture causing the odd character that is floating above Duo Tian's palm to release a force that tugs onto Hua Luo.

Drawn by the force that emanates from the odd character Hua Luo allows himself to be devoured by it causing the odd character's golden shine to brighten.

[...]

Seeing this interaction of Yi's incantation gestures with Hua Luo and the odd character Ji Di Tian felt like his previous thoughts of Hua Luo being the manifestation of an Absolute Law to be true.

But what he can't figure out is just what sort of Absolute Law Hua Luo had become during this manifestation.

"..."

Looking at the odd character of six strokes in his hand Duo Tian's eyes gave off a soft glow of purple radiance before he directs his gaze upon Ji Di Tian.

"In the distant past a mortal stood before Our father and asked how he may become capable of killing a monarch to which Our father replied with the answer that the mortal can only hope to wound a monarch. For the longest this had been the despairing answer that the mortal was forced to acknowledge. But..."

As the figure of Duo Tian overlaps with his main body that is in the distance an odd sensation of discomfort creeps up Ji Di Tian's spine.

"Merely wounding that monarch isn't enough to satisfy the innocent souls that perished. And so-"

Closing his eyes Duo Tian's body begins to enter a falling posture but before he could completely assume this posture of free fall his figure abruptly vanishes from Ji Di Tian's sight.

It is also in this instance that Duo Tian's main body begins to emanate with a purple shine.

[...]

[...]

[...]

Staring at the purple radiance that is emanating from Duo Tian's main body a sense of lightheadedness clouds over Ji Di Tian's minds and as this sensation of lightheadedness worsens he felt as if his body is being made to spin in an infinite circle until-

*...!* the feeling of being brutally thrown into a body of water replaces the lightheadedness shocking his senses back into an alerted state.

(This is...? ...!?)

"The mortal asked himself why not use the entirety of his life to put a curse on that monarch instead?"
