(This is...?)
As if to prove that his experience of being thrown into a body of water had truly happened Ji Di Tian is surprised to find himself in a foreign environment.
Compared to the previous battlefield that is a starry heaven recreated through the powers of the Asura Monarch's Absolute Law the current battlefield is a barren ocean with rays of sunlight shining down from above the water's surface.
(...!?)
With his senses fully alerted Ji Di Tian widens his eyes to find Duo Tian in front of him and floating in between the gap that separates them is the odd character of six strokes that Hua Luo had drawn out with the lotus brush.
"The mortal asked himself why not use the entirety of his life to put a curse on that monarch instead?"
Upon Duo Tian completing the final incantation gesture that is needed ink like threads extend from the odd character of six strokes and faster than Ji Di Tian can hope to react these threads pierces onto his chest.
[...!]
Pain that is akin to having a million needles moving about in his body assaults Ji Di Tian causing him to immediately raise his left hand to pull the threads out but upon wrapping his hand around these threads-
[What kind of curse-...?]
A trace of shock flashes in Ji Di Tian's eyes as his body gives off a visible tremor.
"..."
Noticing Ji Di Tian's unusual behavior a cruel smile appears on Duo Tian's face.
Even for a monarch they would be faced with great difficulties in the creation of a curse that is capable of targeting another monarch's soul.
But this curse that is supposedly created by Hua Luo, someone whose cultivate base is less than a monarch has achieved this feat that even a genuine monarch would have a difficult time over.
[Tch...]
Realizing quickly that attempting to pull these persistent threads out is a futile waste of effort when they have already anchored themselves onto his soul Ji Di Tian coats his right hand in an aura of sword Qi.
No matter what he cannot afford to allow his spiritual body to be completely tainted by this unusual curse but just as Ji Di Tian is about to try and sever the threads-
"..."
Abruptly pushing his hand forward Duo Tian directly presses the odd character of six strokes onto Ji Di Tian's chest cutting off the latter's chance to sever the threads completely.
Rather than feeling the brutal force behind Duo Tian's palm it was the burning sensation that emanates from the odd character that causes Ji Di Tian to grimace as his body is propelled backwards.
In that instance the water that surrounds Ji Di Tian distorts and one after another the faces of numerous individuals of varying age and gender manifests to surround him on all fronts.
Amongst this sea of faces Ji Di Tian manages to recognize a few to be those that he had killed in the distant past.
And upon the manifestation of these ghostly faces the odd character on Ji Di Tian's chest begins to burn with greater fervor almost as if it was representing the amount of resentment these ghosts felt towards him.
*...!!!!!* as these ghostly faces raise a vicious howl that is mixed with hatred and grief they lunge towards Ji Di Tian and bites onto his unstable body while dragging him deeper into this sea!
