[How interesting.]
With a playful tone of voice the phantom of Li Jiu Tian speaks.
Although the domineering pressure that comes off this phantom has weakened it didn't do anything to alleviate Ye Can and Dao Mo's dread.
[This is impossible!]
[This is impossible!]
The exact same words come out of the two Half-Monarch's mouths at the same time as their complexion pales.
(This transient body is made up of both Li Jiu Tian's Absolute Law and his divine senses. In that case-)
(Did the destruction of his Absolute Law serve as a type of stimulus that caused his dormant divine sense to reawaken its conscience?)
Thinking upon the same line of logic Dao Mo and Ye Can quickly came to their own conclusions about this matter.
[Tell me now... How many years have passed?]
Even though this was nothing more than a fragment of Li Jiu Tian's divine senses it still possesses a portion of his memories.
[I do not know the exact amount myself but at the very least more than a million years must have passed since that day.]
Lowering his arms and straightening his back Hua Luo answers as such.
[...I see.]
Closing his eyes Li Jiu Tian seems to be reminiscing about the past and as the odd energy that is unique to Absolute Laws exude from his body the flow of time slowly comes to a halt along with the gradual decay of this realm.
For this instance nothing showed a sign of movement almost as if the entirety of the world has been put to rest.
[...]
Drawing in a light breath of air an image appears in Li Jiu Tian's mind.
Within this image Li Jiu Tian sees himself overlooking a group of five, four girls and one boy who stood at the center.
The age of the girls varied from 15 to perhaps 20 while the boy himself looks to be no more than a bit over 16.
The boy alone was the sole person of this group who stood with a straightened back seemingly the embodiment of endless confidence whereas the girls each gave off a hint of insecurity in their own way.
(Father this giant palace is so empty with just the two of us since auntie doesn't come by often. I want a bigger family, one big enough to fill this gap.)
As the boy says these words the reactions of the four girls around him varied.
One blushes red to her ears in embarrassment.
A second sighs with a hand to their waist.
A third looks away seemingly not knowing how she should react to these words.
And the fourth smiles in a troubled manner.
To him who is just a fragment of his original self's divine sense the phantom of Li Jiu Tian felt like it was only yesterday that he had experienced the event within this memory.
(I see. I look forward to it.)
Those are the words that he used to reply to his son's statement of wanting a bigger family as a means of filling in the palace's void.
(Had things played out well I would have most likely been able to hold a multitude of grandchildren in my arms a few years after that day but...)
Shaking his head Li Jiu Tian dismisses these thoughts as he opens his eyes and looks to Ye Can and Dao Mo.
In that instance the flow of time resumes its movement and with it the realm continues its gradual decay.
[I assume they are the ones you've spoken of in the past?]
[Correct.]
Observing the two before his eyes Li Jiu Tian-
[Both are mid-stage Half-Monarchs, no this one seems close to the late stage.]
Calmly gives his assessment of the two Half-Monarchs with his gaze narrowing at the sight of Ye Can.
[How much time do you need for preparations?]
[...Ideally I wish to have somewhere close to a million years if possible.]
In truth Hua Luo really didn't know just how long his preparations will take for all of it will depend on how well Ye Gui Feng cultivates in the coming centuries. That being the case he wanted to have more time than necessary as a form of insurance.
[Simple enough.]
There wasn't even a hint of hesitation in Li Jiu Tian's reply to Hua Luo's request for a million years' worth of time as he raises the nodachi in his left hand to the level of his collarbone.
