Coming to a stop in front of a gate Yi detects Duo Tian's departure from this world.

"I see."

The location Yi and Bai Yuechu had been brought to by Long Feng Zi is the very center of the mountain's interior.

"..."

Looking back in the direction they had come from Bai Yuechu thought about the magic array that was stationed at the entrance.

The illusionary nature of that magic array is rather abnormal for not even Yi had been able to see what is behind it without expending some effort.

This much alone is a testament to how much value Long Feng Zi places in whatever it is that is behind this gate if he was willing to throw so much resources in constructing a defensive measure of that degree just for it.

"..."

Taking a few steps forward Long Feng Zi pushes the gate open and as the doors of the gate parts a large room is revealed.

"...?"

Being the third to step into the room Bai Yuechu can't help but find the interior designs of this room to be rather-

"Childlike is it not?"

"...Indeed."

Toys of various types from stuffed dolls to building blocks are scattered on the floor making it difficult for one to know where they should tread.

The shape of this room is a perfect circle and at the center of it is a spiraling set of stairs that leads to the second floor.

"He's made quite a messy as usual."

With a helpless smile on his face Long Feng Zi waves his hand causing the scattered toys to float into the air and arrange themselves neatly into their storage containers.

[He? Then...?]

"Let's proceed to the second floor."

Maintaining a smile Long Feng Zi leads Yi and Bai Yuechu to the second floor of this room.

The second floor is noticeably smaller than the first.

The presence of a large bed, closet, drawers, and a desk indicates that this floor of the room is used exclusively as a bedroom.

Asleep on the large bed is the figure of a child and judging by his appearance he shouldn't be any older than ten years of age.

The child is dressed in a thin set of white robes and his hair is a pale grade of silver but the color of his hair isn't the most noticeable thing about him.

[Hm?]

Two serpents with pale white scales coiled themselves around the child's neck and if one traces the bodies of the twin serpents they would immediately notice that they are growing out of the child's back.

[This is...]

Noticing this oddity Yi looks to Long Feng Zi.

"A mutation caused by Na Jia's curse. Throughout the years I've tried everything possible to get rid of this mutation but... In the end it was all for naught."

There was little need for Yi to ask Long Feng Zi if this child is his own flesh and blood for these words alone had indirectly answered that question.

[Those serpents are bound to this child. They are essentially a part of him. Trying to get rid of them could have irreversible consequences.]
