[Seems like I'm close.]

Narrowing his eyes Ye Gui Feng sees a row of man-made structures in the far distance.

[Hmm.]

Thinking of how he should make his approach Ye Gui Feng immediately crosses out the option of heading up the enemy's front doorsteps as his actual self.

Although his flag might not fly out of his storage ring the moment he steps into the enemy's camp that was no reason to let his guard down.

[...]

Gradually Ye Gui Feng directs his eyes onto the ground before pointing his index finger to it.

As a concentrated force of pressure crushes down on the earth it slowly caves inwards forming a hole large enough for a person to comfortably fit in with more than enough leg space to stretch and stand.

Without hesitation Ye Gui Feng sits into the hole and buries within.

Closing his eyes he immediately begins to search through the memories that he had obtained from Hua Luo during his battle against Xuan Nuo.

Despite the volume of memories to go through it didn't take long for Ye Gui Feng to find what he is looking for as he joins his hands together to perform a two-handed incantation gesture.

As time passes a concentrated body of Ye Gui Feng's spirit sense gathers before his chest and similar to a ball of clay it gradually molds itself into the shape of a tiny person.

[...]

Opening his eyes the tiny copy of himself does the same and to make it so that this copy won't be detected as easily on its task-

[Gather.]

Holding his hand up Ye Gui Feng gathers a bundle of ghostly bodies into his grasp and crushes them into a puff of chaotic mist that he uses as a shroud to conceal the body formed of his spirit sense.

[I doubt a Half-Monarch would always be paying attention to their camp.]

Having done that Ye Gui Feng sends the body of spirit sense towards the Spirit Crane Sect's camp.

(Someone aloof and prideful is ideal.)

Those with an outgoing personality are the most difficult type for an imposter to act as.

Not only would the imposter need to know a great deal about the social circle of the one they are portraying as but to maintain the way the original had acted before their acquaintances is adding an additional layer of difficulties on top of an already stressful task.

[...]

Sharing the vision of what his copy is seeing Ye Gui Feng has it stay 50 meters away from the Spirit Crane Sect's camp while he calmly examines this environment.

At the heart of this camp is large crane seemingly carved out a single stone and if Ye Gui Feng focuses a bit he can vaguely detect the presence of a powerful individual located within the crane's head.

Whether this individual is a Half-Monarch or not isn't clear to Ye Gui Feng but if Yi has better luck in his examination of the Xia family's camp and it turns out that there is indeed a Half-Monarch present on his side then it's certain to say that the Spirit Crane Sect has one as well.

Focusing in on the torso of the stone crane Ye Gui Feng can also pick out a total of ten individual presences inside and amongst them-

[Two Exalted Celestials? Then... The person within the head may very well be a Half-Monarch.]

Imagining the difficulties that will come with battling this lineup Ye Gui Feng can only sigh with a frown before he directs his attention to the top of the camp.

A white halo hovers a hundred meters above the stone crane's head and judging by the complex runes that are carved onto the halo's body its safe to say that this is a sort of magic array that is meant for defense.

Not having a lot of knowledge about the subject of magic arrays Ye Gui Feng isn't able to tell just how powerful it is but he didn't dare to underestimate it when this sect possesses at least three individuals with a cultivation base that rivals or surpasses an Exalted Celestial in its lineup.

Turning his attention to the structural layout of the camp Ye Gui Feng sees that its outer perimeters are mostly formed of simplistic caves molded right out of the earth while the camp's central circle that surrounds the stone crane is formed mostly of man-made structures.

[I'll probably have more luck with the second ring.]

Assuming the closer one is to the stone crane the higher their status is Ye Gui Feng has his copy approach the camp's outer perimeters in a cautious manner.

The chances of being detected isn't clear but even if he does get detected his presence here as a third faction in the Four Great Hells isn't known yet so even if his copy does get discovered the moment it enters the Spirit Crane Sect's perimeters the disciples and elders of this sect will most probably assume it belongs to a spy of the Xia family.

[...]

However, that doesn't mean failure is acceptable.

Once the enemies are alerted to the presence of a foreigner invader their vigilance will make a second attempt at infiltration more difficult.

[...]

Making itself a part of the ghost swarm that roams around the Four Great Hells Ye Gui Feng's copy slowly nears the Spirit Crane Sect's perimeters and as it does Ye Gui Feng prepares to detonate it the moment it gets discovered by the sect's defensive array.
