What is sword Qi?
One can think of it as a unique form of energy that can only be utilized by those who have spent many years on perfecting their own understanding towards the Dao of the sword with the hopes of attempting to form their own sword intent.
However, there are circumstances in which depending on the cultivation base of the individual one can forcefully use sword Qi with a bladed weapon in hand.
Though compared to those who have obtained the rights to use this energy through their own enlightenment the first would pale in power.
It's unknown as to what kind of sword intent Li Jiu Tian had formed through his own comprehension but his sword Qi that takes on the form of a thread that is as thin as hair cannot be underestimated.
The sharpness of a single thread that is imbued with the power of his Absolute Law can readily divide the fabrics of time and space whilst preventing it from mending itself for ages to come like a wound that cannot be stitched and will bleed the wounded dry.
If one had witnessed the way in which Yongheng Zi had died they can readily imagine just how terrifying that display of power had been.
[...!]
And although this mentioned thread of sword Qi had missed by the thinness margin possible the thought of how close it had been to severing his arm causes Ye Can's complexion to turn as pale as a sheet of paper.
*Klack...* the sound of the nodachi's guard kissing the lips of the scabbard, though this sound should have been faint it was ominously clear and following it-
*BOOM!!!!!!!* is the sound of rending destruction as dust clouds are kicked up in the distant portions of the stone road!
This single thread of sword Qi hadn't only severed that portion of the stone road from its main body but it had also done something that Ye Can felt difficult to accept.
As soon as echoes of destruction had ceased Ye Can felt his connection to the Dao's End portion of the stone road cut from his control.
Though it might have taken some time to explain everything in detail all of it had transpired in the amount of time that it would take for a person to blink.
[Heh terrifying is it not?]
Despite knowing that it was possible to cut off a portion of the stone road while severing its connection to Ye Can using Li Jiu Tian's Absolute Law that is related to the Nine Heavens not even Hua Luo can hide his astonishment at how easy the feat had been as the invincible existence's back flashes in his mind.
[Come.]
Without wasting any time Hua Luo reaches his right hand into the distance and the portion of the stone road that he had been aiming for teleports to his side.
Stomping his right foot onto the air beneath him Hua Luo summons Ye Gui Feng's Dao Road and as soon as this Dao Road appears the severed portion of the stone road gives off a pale white shine before fusing with the nameless road.
Assimilation of the two roads will take a number of years to accomplish but so long as this portion of the stone road remains connected to this Dao Road it will happen eventually.
As the phantom body of Li Jiu Tian begins to fade the beast that Dao Mo had summoned picks up the pace at which it is devouring the painting.
The process didn't take long and upon the beast closing its maw a gleam of satisfaction flashes from its ruby red eyes as it begins to pull itself back into the void.
[...]
As Dao Mo's lifeforce recoveries at a rapid rate he looks between Hua Luo and Ye Can as if deciding on whom to make a temporary alliance with.
[...]
A difficult to describe expression appears on Ye Can's face as he does the same.
[.........]
[.........]
Simultaneously Ye Can and Dao Mo's eyes releases a gleam of killing intent as they look to Hua Luo in the same instance.
[I'm assuming that was what you meant by having a way to deal with me is it not?]
If Duo Tian was Hua Luo's second hand then his first hand has already been exhausted.
Ye Tian Xie aside Hua Luo is the most unpredictable of the four special fragments.
[I'll have you return that portion of the road.]
Coming to the same conclusion as Dao Mo Ye Can's killing intent continues to grow.
If looks are able to kill then there is no doubt that Hua Luo would have already died an untold number of times from the glares of Ye Can and Dao Mo put together.
[Now, now is there really a need to get so tense?]
[...]
[...]
Under the hostile glares of Ye Can and Dao Mo not even Hua Luo is able to remain completely calm but this display only causes doubt to form in the hearts of the two Half-Monarchs.
Even if Hua Luo might make himself out to be a cornered rat in front of them neither of them are able to take a stride forward with absolute confidence.
The reason Hua Luo is able to compete against Half-Monarchs without being as powerful as them is primarily due to his craftiness along with the resources that he has built up over the years.
Making Ye Can and Dao Mo believe that he has ran out of cards to play could very well be a trap and getting caught in this trap has potential consequences that will cost them dearly.
But could the two Half-Monarchs possibly stand to allow Hua Luo to gain possession of the Dao's End portion of the stone road?
Without this portion of the stone road neither of them will be able to make their way towards the Eternal that lies in the far beyond.
Author: Word count on this chapter is less than 1k but I feel like it's much better to release a chapter with random word counts than to aim for 1.2k that can take longer to edit and write out.
