As soon the entirety of the Sha Luo Blood Sword is dyed in the azure colored spirit energy that is unique to Ye Gui Feng the many wounds on Ji Di Tian's body regardless of their size immediately begins to worsen.

This even includes the small flesh wounds that were given to him by Duo Tian's sword Qi when traces of it had managed to slip through his defense a moment ago.

Sensing that his body is on the verge of collapsing due to the infusion of this poisonous energy Ji Di Tian grabs the Sha Luo Blood Sword with his right hand and proceeds to snap it in an effortless manner.

Towards the destruction of the Sha Luo Blood Sword Ye Gui Feng didn't have any time to feel any heartaches as his channeling of the azure colored spirit energy comes to a momentary halt.

It was also in that instance that Duo Tian approaches Ji Di Tian with Wang Nian and-

In response to Duo Tian's attack that came from the front Ji Di Tian grits his teeth as he takes the risks of voluntarily breaking his flesh and blood body apart into the form of mist to make a swift escape from this encirclement.

Placing a safe amount of distance between him and his enemies Ji Di Tian attempts to reform his body but having been corroded by the azure colored spirit energy he only manages to partially reform himself creating a body that is half mist and half flesh.

Looking down at his right hand that is half mist and half flesh Ji Di Tian can't help but press his brows together as this has effectively reduced his strength in combat.

Storing the damaged Sha Luo Blood Sword away Ye Gui Feng takes out the blood colored sword that is formed of his personal history and proceeds to approach Ji Di Tian with the eyes of a venomous serpent that's found the perfect chance to devour its prey in a single bite.

Towards Ye Gui Feng's unhesitant manner of approaching him Ji Di Tian casts a wary look towards Duo Tian but to his surprise the latter was nowhere to be seen.

[...Shura.]

Without being given the chance to think about Duo Tian's whereabouts Ji Di Tian is forced to turn his attention to the third individual on this battlefield.

(What is he planning?)

Receiving and defending himself against the Asura Monarch's assault that came from the side Ji Di Tian can't help but frown as he pushes the former back by a few steps before directing his attention to Ye Gui Feng.

Against this mortal who has demonstrated such unusual abilities Ji Di Tian couldn't possibly hold them in light regards anymore as he evades the incoming sword by shifting to their right and proceeding to throw out a punch that is difficult for Ye Gui Feng who has yet to recover his right arm to block!

Receiving this blow that lands onto the area right beneath his ribs Ye Gui Feng grits his teeth while flipping the sword around in his left hand and proceeds to stab it towards Ji Di Tian's back!

Surprised by Ye Gui Feng's persistence to land a hit in Ji Di Tian can only choose to turn more of his body into mist and avoid the attack while putting more distance between them.

Having failed in his attack Ye Gui Feng is also forced to put more distance between him and Ji Di Tian while sparing more of his energy on recovering his lost right arm.

Having had his left arm pulverized by Duo Tian's sword Qi Ji Di Tian attempts to speed up the recovery of his lost limb in the same manner as Ye Gui Feng while casting a wary look towards the Asura Monarch.

Throughout this entire time the Asura Monarch has had plenty of chances to regain his control over all forms of lightning, but he hasn't shown any signs of doing so and has continued to neglect the scattered remnants of his original power.

Since this power has yet to be completely refined by Ji Di Tian so long as the Asura Monarch wills it so he can readily take it all back with a single thought.

Adjusting his stance the Asura Monarch looks to Ji Di Tian with an odd gleam in his eyes. He can easily tell what the other person is thinking of and towards his own actions of not taking back his original powers he knew that he was taking on a risky gamble that may not ever pay off in the future.

However-

[*Sigh* our creations have surpassed the limits of what was expected of them eons ago. In this day and age it's either they thrive or we go extinct.]

[If you understand that much why do you stand against me? Can't all personal matters be dealt with after this issue?]

Towards Ji Di Tian's questions the Asura Monarch smiles faintly and replies with-

[I don't mind dying for I have already died once. What's one more death supposed to amount to at this point? We are the incarnations of heaven and earth's various concepts. You represent extinction and thus you bring about the destruction of everything that exists in this world whereas Ji Tian Huang is the manifestation of creation in which he sows the seeds of life upon the lands that have just been showered by your rain of destruction. In this current world you maintain your stance on bringing destruction while Ji Tian Huang chooses to nurture and devour. For me... Neutrality is the stance that I have chosen to take for I am but an observant eye, an enforcer, the one who brings judgment down on the lifeforms that have gone against our preestablished rules. From the very beginning and even now I intend to remain as both an eye and an enforcer that watches over the everchanging world. If our creations intend to rebel against us so be it. I shall not help them, but I shall still act as one of the many trials that stand in their way so that I may test their worth.]

[What you are saying is nothing more than hypo-]

[It is hypocrisy. Even though I have chosen neutrality I still choose to fight you here and now.]

[And why is that?]

Towards this question the Asura Monarch was at a slight loss as to how he should answer it but if he had to choose the easiest way to express his thoughts then-

[The one to defeat me, the one to overcome this trial that is directed at all lifeforms shall be the one to take over my throne and take on the responsibilities of exacting my vengeance upon you, a feat that I am unworthy of doing nor am capable of doing.]
