"As much as I would actually like to fight you right now I have something else to attend to so these two will be keeping you company."

Having said these words Duo Tian turns his attention to the two celestial bodies.

Considering how it was Ji Di Tian who had created these celestial bodies their quality was all but guaranteed.

[...]

A solemn expression appears on Ji Di Tian's face seeing as how Duo Tian had been bold enough to divert his attention away from him.

Knowing just how terrifying Ji Di Tian is the three monarchs can't help but see Duo Tian being far too reckless for his own good but-

"Suppressing you is all too easy in your current state. But killing you is impossible unless I went ahead and burned this entire world to ashes. I've no interest in performing a massive genocide so why bother to fight a fight that has no definite ending in sight?"

[...]

[...]

[...]

Hearing these words Ji Di Tian, Chong Tianzi, and the Asura Monarch all revealed a hint of astonishment on their faces.

"Heh this should be the Original Monarchs' most guarded secret."

Waving his hand in a lazy manner Duo Tian continues.

"What had come to be first? Was it the world or was it the monarchs? Not a single living creature has an answer to this question. In fact none of you know the answer to this question yourselves. Nine suns, nine moons, nine heavens are the limit of what is considered by many to be the ideal number of heavens. But..."

A ball of ashen colored Fox Fire appears on Duo Tian's hand and with one wave this flame is poured onto the two celestial bodies created by Ji Di Tian.

Through his connection to these celestial bodies Ji Di Tian felt his imprint on them being gradually chipped away at under the blazing heat of Duo Tian's Fox Fire.

[You plan to refine those celestial bodies for yourself?]

"I've no intention to keep things the way they are. Who was it that said that nine suns and nine moons is the limit? What I hate the most is to be forced to live under someone else's rule. All of you should feel honored to witness the birth of my First Heaven and seeing as how I am using the celestial bodies created by you..."

Turning his head to the side Duo Tian looks to Ji Di Tian with a sinister smile.

"Rejoice in being able to take part in my grand plan for the moment I create the Tenth Heaven will be the moment I rewrite the laws of this world and erase you all. Prior to that I suggest all of you keep your necks clean for your eventual execution."

Hearing this bold statement made by Duo Tian Ji Di Tian and Chong Tianzi looks to the former with ill intent whereas the Asura Monarch and Cang Xue displays a hint of mild hostility.

Considering how Cang Xue has allied herself with Chong Tianzi this statement from Duo Tian has seemingly made him the enemy of all the monarchs who are present.

[...]

Using his cultivation base Ye Gui Feng moves the island away from the scene of this confrontation.

Compared to the four monarchs and Duo Tian Ye Gui Feng felt like he was no better than a common mortal before their strength so he didn't see any reason for him to involve himself with a battle that is beyond his abilities.

(...)

However that doesn't mean that he would do nothing should he see an opportunity.

(What had come first...?)

Thinking back to what Duo Tian had said about it being impossible to kill an Original Monarch this question repeats itself in Ye Gui Feng's head.

[What had come first...? That is indeed a question that no one has a proper answer to.]

As a ripple appears on the fabrics of time and space the figure of Yi walks out from within and trailing after him are the others who had accompanied Ye Gui Feng in the pocket dimension created by Ji Di Tian.

"Lian."

Smiling faintly Xiao Ju Hong wraps Xiao Lian in her embrace while helping the latter recover from her weakened state.

"Mother."

Under Xiao Ju Hong's infusion of energy Xiao Lian's pale complexion gradually begins to improve.

[The reason Li Jiu Tian said that we could only wound Ji Di Tian is because the laws of this world. So long as this law exists none of the Original Monarchs can truly die by the hands of those who aren't a part of their circle.]

Looking to the distant battlefield Yi explains about the odd circumstances that prevent others from killing an Original Monarch through conventional means.

[So you're saying their lives are connected to the world itself?]

[That's why he said that unless he burns this entire world to ashes and commits genocide he can't kill Ji Di Tian.]

Allowing this idea to sink in both the demonic self and Ye Gui Feng looks on with an expression of solemnness.

If Duo Tian isn't able to kill the monarchs at this time then how was he going to force them to retreat?
