[Was it truly wise to give him a month's worth of time?]

Worried that the sixth patriarch will find some way to break the restrictions that Ye Gui Feng had set on him Li Wen can't help but ask if giving them so much time is truly wise.

And knowing the sixth patriarch as a person Li Wen has no doubt that they will attempt to exact vengeance the moment those restrictions are removed.

"A month is plenty of time for changes to occur. Once that change occurs he'll have to take my warning to heart. Who knows maybe at the time he'll even beg me to put those restrictions back on him?"

Appearing back in Li Wen's residence Ye Gui Feng sat down and went over his objectives for the entirety of this month in his head.

[Changes?]

"Indeed. Seems like they've returned as well."

Recalling the three disciples of the Spirit Crane Sect that he had ran into on the way here Ye Gui Feng smiles with a hint of cruelty.

For the sake of invoking this change that he has in mind he will have these three die tonight.

.........

"..."

Hearing the news that the sixth patriarch's household servant had come to report to him about the fifth elder's expression darkens with a hint of dread as he recalls the incident that had occurred a year ago along with the recent news of the sixth elder's death.

Physically the fifth elder looks to be somewhere around the age of 25 but his actual age is well over 500. 500 may sound old by mortal standards but amongst the elder circle of the Spirit Crane Sect the fifth elder is seen by many to be the youngest of their group.

(Wasn't it supposed to have just been Li Wen who is meant to go back there? Why is the sixth patriarch suddenly having all of us go as well?)

Unable to figure out the sixth patriarch's intentions behind this change in arrangement the fifth elder can't help but frown and asks-

"Is the sixth patriarch able to meet with me to talk about this matter in more detail?"

"Unfortunately he went into seclusion a few minutes after his meeting with the fourth elder."

"..."

The timing of this causes the lines on the fifth elder's forehead to deepen but since there is nothing that he can do about this order he can only choose to approach this with a wait and see attitude while making some minor preparations for insurance.

"Fine tell him that I'll be there in a month."

.........

"Elder there is an evening party planned for today."

"Evening party?"

Maintaining his guise as the seventh elder of the Xia family Yi is just about to leave this medium sized residence for a stroll around the Xia family's establishment until one of the housekeepers had appeared before him to tell him about the evening party that is being schedule in two hours from now.

"Didn't we just have one a week ago?"

Having extracted a great deal of information out of the actual seventh elder Yi knew that an evening party had already been held a week ago.

Under ordinary circumstances an evening party is only meant to be held once a month as a means for the important members of the Xia family to gather and report their search progress to the clan chief who would then report directly to the Xia family's divine ancestor, Xia Huang Hai.

As for what the Xia family clansmen are supposed to have been searching for during the intervals of each evening party-

"I was told it's because an urgent matter needs to be discussed about as soon as possible."

"An urgent matter? Did someone perhaps finally have a lead on the missing flag?"

Considering how the actual flag is in Ye Gui Feng's possession Yi is confident that his guess is far off the mark.

"That I am uncertain of."

"I see. Well I'll be sure to head over there when the time comes."

Sending the housekeeper away Yi moves onto the streets of the Xia family's establishment and it was also in that instance that the jade slip he uses to keep in contact with Ye Gui Feng gives off a tremor.

"...One month is it?"

Reading through the information that is sent to him thoroughly Yi stores the jade slip away and begins his work.

Keeping the undulation of his cultivation base to a minimum Yi performs a number of incantation gestures beneath the veil of his sleeves as he randomly targets those within his reach between the interval of 15 steps.

(Hmm this is way too much of a hassle...)

Quickly realizing how inconvenient this method of sowing his curse is along with the eventual issues that will accompany it Yi frowns as he thought about the possibilities of making some changes to the sowing process.

"..."

Looking at the ghosts that are roaming about in the air a possibility occurs to Yi.

But since there is an evening party planned for later he can only choose to shelf the idea and test it at a later date.
