A similar piece of news concerning the discovery of dead bodies appear in the Xia family's establishment and much like how the Spirit Crane Sect had reacted to the news a large amount of effort is immediately being put into the investigation of what had caused the deaths that were discovered early in the morning.

Compared to the Spirit Crane Sect that had three deaths the Xia family's death count ranges within the twenties.

If just three deaths are considered a great loss to the Spirit Crane Sect then a death count that is pass twenty can only be considered a catastrophic loss for the Xia family.

"I say... Did you seriously call me out at such a time just to have a drinking partner?"

"So what? Aren't you drinking the wine? What do you have to complain about?"

Sitting down with Bai Yuechu Yi stares at the wine in his cup almost as if he is mesmerized by it.

"I'm not complaining but shouldn't you be trying to find a more convenient way to sow that curse?"

Downing the cup Yi smiles and-

"Enlightenment doesn't come at the grasp of a hand. Do you have any idea how complicated that curse is?"

"But you already have something in mind don't you? Otherwise I can't see how you'd actually have the leisure of sitting down with me to have a drink."

Towards Bai Yuechu's remark Yi smiles as he takes out a deep blue crystal and looks to it with scrutinizing eyes.

Contained inside of this crystal is Long Feng Zi's son, Bai Shuang who has yet to awaken from his sleep.

"I can use the roaming ghosts as my limbs to sow the curse. But..."

"You have no way to get them to carry the curse as a vessel so you want to study Na Jia's method?"

"Correct."

"Won't that take forever to do?"

"I just need to understand a small fraction of Na Jia's law."

"That doesn't change the fact that it will still take you quite a bit of time."

"Aren't you supposed to give me some words of encouragement at a time like this?"

Within the interior of the solar body three individuals sat down together in a triangular formation.

Receiving the news through a slip of jade Xia Huang Hai evidently had a look of anger on his face as he crushes the jade into powder.

Had Xia Huang Hai not possessed a set of vitality filled eyes one would probably mistaken him for a ghost that had crawled out of his coffin especially so when his simplistic set of white robes seem to reinforce this impression.

The second prime elder of the Xia family the female Exalted Celestial dressed in blue with a physical appearance that looks to be no more than twenty directs a look of concern towards the former.

"Heh perhaps this is simply the result of old age. I don't even know if I can trust my instincts anymore."

"Then there really is an intruder in our domain."

"And not just any intruder. A highly skilled one at that."

"Another Half-Monarch?"

"Is it perhaps the seventh elder?"

Recalling the incident that happened yesterday during the evening party in which Xia Huang Hai had randomly called out the seventh elder of all people the first prime elder who hasn't spoken up until now looks to Xia Huang Hai for confirmation.

Compared to the second prime elder the first prime elder looks to be in his forties with a few strands of white hair.

"I'm not sure. But from my observation the seventh elder's soul didn't have any changes."

"...That doesn't mean he is in the clear either."

"Changing one's appearance is easy. But changing one's soul to match that of another individual is... I won't say it's impossible."

Absolute Laws and the likes are meant to defy what a person would normally deem to be impossible by altering the laws that kept the orders of the world into ones that fit the individual's necessities.

If the intruder is a Half-Monarch they could have very well possess an Absolute Law that would allow them to change the appearance of their soul to aid them in their infiltration.

"If it's truly a Half-Monarch do you think it's the Spirit Crane Sect's Tiān Hè Zi? (天鹤子)"

"...If it's him I wouldn't be this concerned."

"Divine ancestor means to say that another Half-Monarch has appeared in the Four Great Hells?"

"From what I know of Tian He Zi's abilities he shouldn't have a law that would allow him to disguise his soul. It's simply outside of his specialty."

Answering the second prime elder's question further Xia Huang Hai recounts his past exchanges with Tian He Zi.

"Jiǔ Kè (九刻), I want you to assist in the investigation of those corpses. It won't be easy for those in the Paragon Immortal realms to discover how a Half-Monarch had done the deed. If you end up not being able to discover the method used as well then bring the corpses back to me."

"Shall I also inform those who will be heading out with the seventh elder to keep an observant eye on his movements?"

"Heh. Quick witted as usual. Yes do that."

"I'll get it done when he decides on who he wants to go with."
