[And what of it? It is something that his majesty had granted me with ages ago. I can do with it as I wish.]
Despite how casual these words may sound neither Ye Can or Dao Mo could imagine the feat Hua Luo had performed to obtain that single slip of white jade for the weight that item carries is a trust that is heavier than any as it had come from none other than Li Jiu Tian.

Dangerous to keep around.
The sooner he vanishes from this world the better.
Regardless of the price it would all be worth it if it can get rid of this factor.
Regaining the final portion of the stone road that is the key to the Eternal.
These thoughts crossed the minds of both Ye Can and Dao Mo and it was the final thought specifically that made them take a single step forward with their cultivation base in full rotation.
[...Looks like it really is unavoidable.]
With the pressure of two Half-Monarchs' cultivation base crushing down on him Hua Luo felt as if he was caught in the middle of two rampaging tornadoes that could rip him into pieces at any time.
But backing down in the present instance is no longer an option.
He knew very well just how important the final portion of the stone road is to Ye Can and Dao Mo for without it they could never hope to become the Eternal and having obtained this specific portion he wasn't willing to let it go without a fight.
It was clear that Hua Luo didn't possess the strength to defeat Ye Can and Dao Mo in a direct confrontation, but he was more than confident enough to say that he can force them to withdraw.
Everything that follows after their withdrawal won't have anything to do with him as Hua Luo knows his time is limited.
Fearful of Ye Can and Dao Mo attempting to hunt Ye Gui Feng down for the final portion of the road was of no concern.
Though this portion of the road is important neither Ye Can or Dao Mo are in any rush for it as they have yet to come to the point in which they need only walk pass it to become the Eternal.
Considering how they view Ye Gui Feng as nothing more than an ant they are keen to think that they can reclaim the final portion of the road at any point in time.
The only reason they are acting now is because it just so happens to be in front of them so it was a matter of convenience that pushes them to reach for it.

Although the expression on Ye Can and Dao Mo's face look as if they are both willing to pay any sort of price to erase his existence for good Hua Luo wasn't naïve to believe that they have thrown all forms of caution to the wind.
Despite having most of their attention directed upon Hua Luo Ye Can and Dao Mo haven't forgotten about Xuan Nuo completely.
For a person to become the direct subordinate of an Original Monarch their strength and worth have already been testified even if they do not possess a Half-Monarch's level of power.
The moment they notice something is off about Xuan Nuo everything thus far would have been for naught and the best way to distract Ye Can and Dao Mo would be to give them a fight where they must direct all their focus upon.
[...]
Instead of waiting for Ye Can and Dao Mo to make the first move Hua Luo's advancement breaks this stalemate as he appears in front of Dao Mo with his right hand raised.
[...]
The abruptness of Hua Luo's advancement might have been difficult to read but Dao Mo still felt that it was far too slow as he can readily make out the details of Hua Luo's index finger.
*Boom!* as Dao Mo raises a cold snort a thin wall of energy spawns in front of him and blocks off the attack.
*Kakakakakaka!* but rather quickly cracks begin to spread from the spot where Hua Luo's finger had pressed and a centimeter at a time the transparent wall begins to cave inwards.
[Oh?]
A hint of surprise appears on Dao Mo's face. As a Half-Monarch every attack or defensive measure he casts will naturally contain a trace of his Absolute Law and this is what renders the practitioners below the Half-Monarch's realm of cultivation powerless against him.
[I see. Although you aren't a true Half-Monarch you have never the less gained a brief bit of insight towards the creation of your Absolute Laws. Fitting to say that you are a "quarter."]
With Dao Mo holding Hua Luo back Ye Can uses this chance to appear behind Hua Luo doing nothing to obscure his killing intent!
[***, ****** *** *** *.]
Unsurprised by Ye Can's attack Hua Luo mutters a complex string of words.
[...?]
Sensing a slight change from Hua Luo's body Ye Can constricts his eyes but he doesn't do anything to stop the advancement of his palm that is but an inch away from Hua Luo's back.
*...!!!* considering how little distance there was separating the two this attack couldn't have missed and within an instance a clear sense of impact is transmitted to Ye Can's palm.
Under normal circumstances this should have been all that it would take to erase Hua Luo's existence but-
[...!]
A disturbing sensation creeps down Ye Can's spine. He felt as if his hand had come into contact with a bottomless black hole that is relentlessly attempting to devour his energy.
[If you consider me a quarter monarch then shouldn't you expend all your strength into an attack instead of being half-hearted about it?]
*Kakakakaka!!!* following these words Dao Mo's defensive shield is shattered into pieces to reveal his expression of astonishment at Hua Luo for having survived Ye Can's attack.
[***, ******* ** ** *** **.]
A string of complicated words come from Hua Luo's mouth and upon doing so the tip of his finger is engulfed by a dense mist of death Qi!
