As his vision regains clarity the Asura Monarch puts an abrupt stop to his backwards flight and raises his head to see the double doors of the ancient gate drawing to a closure.

Standing at the center of the gate is none other than Ji Di Tian and judging by the scenery of the radiant bodies that surrounds him the Asura Monarch realized that he is already inside of the ancient gate's confines.

Standing in place the figure of Ji Di Tian melts into the backgrounds and vanishes from sight.

Following this a powerful force of divine sense sweeps through this world.

Through means unknown to those imprison in this world the distance between them and the sun begins to shrink rapidly and before any of them can gain awareness of this they were already so close to the sun that the entirety of its blazing body is all that stood to fill their field of vision.

*...!* without giving those imprisoned here any time to response to the escalating situation a piercing sound comes from Ji Di Tian's flute and responding to this sound the sun and moon seemingly breaks off all their restraints as they align themselves onto a single lane and begins to charge towards the other!

Recovering their senses the Asura Monarch immediately begins to rotate the power of Absolute Laws for defense whereas-

Hua Luo snaps the demonic self to attention.

Jolted out of his daze the demonic self shakes his head and immediately turns his full attention towards the first of the seven layers of defensive walls.

Amidst this disastrous situation Chong Tianzi continues to keep his eyes shut while maintaining a meditative state of mind.

Amongst the three factions who are gathered here he was the one who is closest to the sun.

And despite this being the case it didn't seem like he was going to do anything to defend himself against the incoming blast and it is precisely because of the oddness in his behavior that most of Ji Di Tian's attention is directed towards him.

Recalling the tone Chong Tianzi had used to say these words Ji Di Tian didn't believe for a second that the former would just readily die when pushed into a corner.

Whether or not Chong Tianzi's strength has truly been weakened upon the destruction of his battle raiment matters little for a monarch is still a monarch in the end.

A person couldn't possibly hold this status without a powerful set of cards to play when faced with a disaster.

As a faint bit of red demonic Qi exudes from the Asura Monarch's body a strange layer of diamond like radiance spreads to cover the exposed portion of his skin.

Sensing the red demonic Qi that originates from the Asura Monarch the demonic self turns his head towards their direction as a strange sense of familiarity beats from his blood.

This odd force of red demonic Qi is very much reminiscent of-

Other than the demonic self Ji Di Tian is the second person to instantly recognize this red demonic Qi and seeing the unique diamond like glow that under normal circumstances could only be found on the Yaksha Monarch covering the Asura Monarch's body Ji Di Tian can't help but be astonished.

(Did he have a secret dealing with Yecha in the past?)

Although this special layer of diamond like skin's defensive capabilities isn't fully comparable to Chong Tianzi's battle raiment it could still be considered an inconspicuous set of armor that is only second to the raiment when it comes to defense for it is tied to the Yaksha Monarch's unique method of cultivation.

One could say this is one of the Yaksha Monarch's foundation arts.

*...!!!* just as the diamond like layer of skin fully covers the Asura Monarch's body from head to toe the sun and moon were less than a few hundred kilometers apart from the other.

With only this much distance separating them one another a crater has already begun to open on their bodies and from this crater a spider web patterned crack begins to spread.

In the next instance-

*...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!* faced with the momentum that their opposites had brought to this collision the two celestial bodies begin to collapse and from the sun blazing flames of darkness emerges with a sound that is akin to the cries of numerous mythological beasts' howls combined into one!

As an unbearable wave of heat washes over those who are imprisoned in this world they felt as if their very body is set ablaze but this heat is the least of their worries.

*!!!!!!!!!!!!* being the one who is responsible for the first defensive wall the demonic self grits his teeth together tightly as he stands his ground in the face of the incoming blast.

(This is definitely going to be one of the worse days of my life thus far...)

Eyeing the incoming blast time slows for the demonic self as a very distant memory of the past flashes in his head.

(All that's changed is just the enemy. There's no real difference between then and now on what needs to be done.)

With survival being the main priority the demonic self can afford to set aside his differences with Ye Gui Feng but above all there were three individuals within this courtyard that he would risk his life to protect at all costs.

*!!!!!!!!!!!!* as a colossal mass of deadly force smashes onto the first wall the demonic self's ghostly figure distorts as he spews out a bundle of life essence from his mouth!

Having taken the burden of sustaining the first defensive wall upon himself the demonic self knew how important it was to hold out for as long as possible so that the initial blast's strength may be weakened.

And it is only by weakening the blast continuously would any of them have a chance at survival.

*Kakakakakakakaka!!!* faced with the same amount of force the Asura Monarch's body trembles as the diamond like layer of skin that is covering his flesh begins to crack like the carapace of an insect!

But despite the damages the Asura Monarch is sustaining the shattered portions of the diamond skin would immediately begin to mend themselves as a new layer would gloss over the old whenever a crack is made.

Although this process of constant regeneration is extremely taxing on the body the Asura Monarch had little regards to energy expenditure under the current circumstances when survival is the main priority.

At the same time he knew that attempting to defeat Ji Di Tian who had descended to this realm with their true body is impossible.

(At the very least the first part of my bet has been successful.)

Since defeating Ji Di Tian is impossible with his current strength the Asura Monarch can only hope to make a risky bet that is divided into three parts.
