Hey, guys! I'm sorry if this was the best thing I could give you right now. I was having an existential crisis the past few days. Don't worry. It's nothing serious but it really affected my thinking process and this was all I could give you.

Despite that, though, I have already envisioned the future of this story last night before sleep took over me. I'm not going to give up any details so you'll be left on edge haha.

Anyway, vote for Lisa on Choeaedol for charity angel! Enjoy, guys!

Chapter 122

It was still pouring, if not harder, when we reached the heart of the city. It was quiet inside the car. No one spoke a word as we passed every establishment. I didn't mind it when I noticed that we were driving toward the airport. I only knew that I was going to see Lisa again as my heart pounded in anticipation and anxiety.

I didn't know what to expect when we arrive there but I sure wouldn't like to think anything severe had come upon her. I couldn't take it so I filled my head with the sight of Lisa, sleeping peacefully in her majestic bed while she rested from her minor injuries.

I sighed while fidgeting in my seat as negative thoughts started creeping in from the sides of my mind, closing my eyes as I willed it to go away.

I felt a hand rest on my fiddling hands and I looked at my brother. He smiled wistfully as he squeezed and I couldn't help the tears that had brimmed in my eyes before I hugged him. His arms tightened around me while his body shook, crying silently in each other's arms.

"You don't have to worry. They'll be alright," he whispered and I nodded, needing the reassurance though it never calmed my heart. The only thing that would calm me down was seeing Lisa's bright smile with her arms open wide as she waited for me to come to her.

I caught Rosie's sad eyes in the rearview mirror but I turned away after a second. I was still a little mad at her for keeping this secret from me. I knew that Lisa asked her to do it and she could never disobey her but I'm her best friend. What? She would wait for Lisa's dead body to greet me before she'd spill it?

I clenched my eyes shut as an image of a lifeless Lisa passed my mind's eye before I gritted my teeth, not wanting to imagine it anymore. I tried to calm my breathing as we arrived at the airport after almost a n hour, driving straight to a private runway.

Once the car stopped, several men surrounded the car, startling us when they forcefully opened the doors before dragging us out. When all of us were out, we were greeted by a smirking Jimin.

Gone were his worried expressions and sad eyes, replaced by a menacing look as he looked at us, putting his hands in front of him, crossed in his stomach. "What's the meaning of this, Jimin?" Rosé angrily asked after she moved in a blur, breaking the neck of the one who held her captive.

I gasped as the man laid dead on the wet ground as the man who deceived us laughed amusedly, raising a hand to stop his men who tried to attack Chaeyoung.

He looked at her, "You can choose to fight my men and arrive to the Kingdom dead or you can come willingly and see the light of day tomorrow. Either way, you'll be useful."

I closed my eyes shut as a headache started to creep in at this dilemma. "I'm not afraid of you," Chaeyoung bravely as she stepped forward as Jimin raised an eyebrow. "Yeah, well, can you fight and save them at the same time?" His cocky voice was slowly getting into my nerves but I needed to be calm.

I looked around and saw another set of men waiting on the sidelines in case something happened. I knew this was a losing game so when Rosie attempted to attack, I reached toward her side to catch her attention before looking at Jimin.
