OWENS POV
"Owen we need to figure out a name," Amelia complained for the 4th time this week.
"Honey I don't know," I chuckled, "we have a million girl names from Ellie, and you hate every idea I have."
"I don't hate every idea you have," Amelia said.
"Fine," I said, "I like Elliot."
"No," Amelia said.
"See!" I chuckled.
"We can't name him Elliot because Ellie's name starts with an E," she explained.
"So we cant name him something with a K either?" I said.
"Nope," she said, "they either all have to match or they don't."
"We aren't the Duggar's it doesn't matter," I chuckled.
"It matters to me," Amelia said.
"You're so hard to work with," I chuckled.
"Owen!" She said, "I am not!"
"What about Oliver?" I asked. She thought about it for a moment.
"It can be considered," She said.
"I want it on the board," I said. I looked over at the baby names board Amelia created last night, which consisted of four columns, considering, okay, maybe, and no.
"So which category does Oliver get?" I chuckled.
"Oliver gets put considering category," she said.
"Mama!" Kamryn said as she ran into the kitchen, "what are you doing?"
"Daddy and I are talking about what to name your baby brother," Amelia said, "any ideas?" Kamryn looked at the board and then sat down next to me at the table.
"What about James? Like james and the giant peach?" Kamryn said. Amelia and I both exchanged glances. James Peterson. Amelia chuckled and wrote James under the "okay" category.
"Any other suggestions?" She chuckled.
"Liam," Kamryn said.
"I like Liam," I said.
"Me too," Amelia said and put it in the considered column.
"Ellie do you have any ideas?" Amelia asked, Ellie was sitting in her high chair eating Cheerios.
"Taco!" She giggled.
"Ellie we cant name your brother after a food," I chuckled.
"Cheerios!" Ellie giggled. Amelia chuckled and kissed her head.
"I like Taco better than Elliot," Amelia said.
"Shut up," I said.
"That's a bad word," Kamryn pointed out.
"Kamryn's right," Amelia said, "you shouldn't say that."
"I'm sorry," I pouted.
"You're forgiven," Amelia said, "anyway what about Matthew?"
"No," I said.
"Why not?" Amelia pouted.
"Because April almost married Matthew," I said.
"So we cant name our son Matthew?" Amelia said.
"Well no, everyone was at that wedding they'll think of how Jackson ruined the wedding and Matthew was left at the altar," I said.
"I wasn't at the wedding but fine," Amelia said. This was going to on for hours.
-
Amelia and I finally gave up with the names. We had a few, it was a start.
"I have an idea," Amelia said as she walked into the kitchen.
"Okay," I said.
"You might not like it, I'm not sure how you feel about it but, wasn't your dads name Noah?" She said.
"Yeah," I said.
"Well, I don't know how you feel about it because you didn't mention it but, what if we named our son after your dad?" She said. I couldn't help but smile.
"I like that," I smiled.
"You do?" She smiled.
"Yeah," I said, "I like it a lot."
"Okay so middle name," she said.
"Noah Liam," I said.
"No," she said, "it doesn't flow."
"What?" I chuckled.
"It doesn't flow," she said, "it has to flow."
"Fine," I chuckled.
"What about uh, Ryan?" She said.
"Noah Ryan?" I said. She nodded.
"I like it," I said.
"You do?" She asked.
"Yes," I said, "I love it."
"Me too," she smiled.
"Noah Ryan Hunt," I said. She sat down next to me and ran her hand over her stomach. Our little boy would be here in 3 months. I felt like the time flew by, but I know Amelia could not say the same.
