"For the LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold From those who walk uprightly." -Psalm 84:11

These are all privileges/benefits to those who are upright. The question will then be, 'how to be upright in the sight of God?'

Do you know how?

You see, we oftentimes as a christian expect good things/ blessing alone from God... If you notice our prayers are more of a supplication than thanksgiving and adoration to our King.

You have to know that God will not bless someone, without that person doing anything. We know that in order for you to get paid in your job, you have to work hard on it. That's basic, right? Though we are not saved by works rather by faith and we know that faith without works is dead.

'You don't do good works to be saved. You do good works because you are saved.' -Unknown

We should be upright in God's sight to be blessed by our King. To walk in this world with faith, & love. To do God's will & command. To be like Jesus. Jesus is the image of our invisible God and we are created in the image & likeness of God. What does that tell you? We are created in the image of our God, and we created that way with a purpose to give Him all the glory He deserves. Since i mention Jesus being the image of our invisible God in this world, God sent Him to us so that we can imitate Him, that is our responsibility as God's creation. That right there is the challenge to all of us.

As a christian strive to be what God wants you to be, holy-righteous-upright in His sight, to be just like Jesus. In all these to believe is the first step... Abraham was counted righteous during his time because of his faith.

I challenge  you to be upright?!

To God be the glory!
