"Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee." -Isaiah 26:3 KJV

What does it mean when it says our mind should be firm/fix in the Lord?

Peace is not something we buy or acquire if we feel like having it. It's complicated and easy at the same time to posses.

How so?

Wherever i look, i see a mess, war, battle, chaos & destructions. Nations against nations. Siblings fight for the inheritance. The issue of homosexuality, issues of love... Murder cases, calamities, accidents... its just chaotic. Why?! What's wrong with the world? We then end up pointing fingers when all we should do is look at the mirror. We question about the ways of the world but have we done something to change it's ways, to make a difference, have we, as a Christian?

We look for peace, but have we really search it out?! You see, peace is one of the fruit of the Spirit, the Holy Spirit. We are able to have such only if our faith in firm in the Lord.

What does it take to have not just peace but perfect peace? Yes, '...whose mind is stayed on thee..' When our mind is fix in the Lord which we believe God not just because it feels like, but because i know it is right, we have reasons as to why we believe... we have understood what we believe. We can then be able to defend our faith when needed, when challenged. If we have reasons that is to say, we have a knowledge about the God we are serving then we are able to trust Him, that trust in God enables us to have a firm faith in Him because of what we know of Him. And we get to know God thru His Word.

And so, we are able to have such peace when we come to know and understand God, in who He is, in what He has done and what He is capable of doing. With our knowledge of God, faith emerges when there is faith, trust is there... That trust will lead us to the peace God promises His people.

"Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." -John 14:27

Counter satan's attack of worries in your life in the pictures he make in the world by the Word of God,. Read the Scripture, believe It and live It.  And with your firm faith, Trust God... He knows what He is doing.

To God be the glory!
