"For thus saith the Lord unto the house of Israel, Seek ye Me, and ye shall live." -Amos 5:4

'Seek ye Me, and ye shall live.' Those words echo on my head. Is that not the case for you?

Though it wasn't stated, but i believe it also means, you will die if you won't seek me or seek me not and you shall not live. It also mean that. Don't you think?
Does that statement puzzle you? And if it does then, i don't think you know our Creator God. And not knowing the God we are serving means we are not a true Christian... being a Christian the 1st step we take on is knowing our God because its a basic thing for us to trust Him and have faith in Him. That is why we listen to the Word of God ...faith comes from hearing the Word of God... and we know that the Word of God is God Himself (John 1:1).

We are only able to have life because of God. He is the life (John 14:6), we are able to breath and have life because of God (Genesis 2:7) and He is the Giver of life to those who will persevere in this life (Revelation 2:10).

Seeking God means setting our attention, our focus in Him. That is what we ought to do as Christian, as followers of Jesus... because that is the only we can live other ways are death leading path... Jesus is the way, the truth and the life (John 14:6).

Seeking God continually for us to live is like how a man lives by drinking water or by eating to preserve life and without it we can't survive, though that is in the physical sense... seeking God is feeding yourself spiritually that is more important that the physical. Our body will fade one day but the spirit will remain. And if you die today where will you be? Heaven or hell? If your spiritual life is dead in God then how can you be alive? How can you be in heaven? Seek God for you to live for eternity other options leads to death.

God can be found, you know? If you seek Him with all of your heart. And once you found Him, your salvation is secure... the eternal life is in you.

Just one question: Once we find God does that mean we stop seeking Him? No! Our life is a journey of seeking God's face, following Him 'til we be like Him... not as God but rather Godly in character...
Seek God no matter what. Seek Him 'til you see His face.

To God be the glory!
