"Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil." -Matthew 4:4

God allows all the struggles and temptations, but God's purpose is to nurture us... for our growth.

Wilderness in this verse represents the struggles/tribulations of life... just as God lead the Israelites out pf Egypt and told them about the promised land He has prepared for them. And because of their hard heart God lead them into the wilderness to test their heart... for 40 years.

It is during a person's darkest moments or times of struggles that we can see the true person- in who he is.

God allows us to get lost for us to know the way we need to take that will lead us to life everlasting. I believe the only way we can appreciate the light is if we have experience the darkness.

All the things we go through is all for our good. It meant to make us stronger. It meant to make us wiser. It meant to make us better... only if we continue to seek God's Word. If you continue on reading Matthew 4, Jesus overcame all the temptation with the Word of God.

For us to defeat satan we need the Word of God, as mentioned in the Hebrews that the Word of God is sharper than any two-edged sword. It will tear satan up and destroy him and will help remind him of his future, his future in hell.

The only way we can overcome all the struggles/tribulations in this life is thru God's Word... for His Word is life, love, peace, hope, freedom, joy, blessing and salvation. The Word has a name... Jesus is its name (John 1:1 & 14).

And so hold on to Him. Have faith in Him.

Do you know what we have that has overcome the world? ...our faith!

To God be the glory!
