"Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake." -Matthew 24:9

You might say, 'I did not sign up for this!'
Then what did you sign up for?! We, Christians, know that He died for us to live, ...for our salvation. Most of us only wants the glorious part of being His child but wouldn't want to be part of His suffering. We want the resurrection part but not the struggles/pain part... we want only the good stuffs without cost. If you are like that, then i have to say, you are not a true Christian... but if you insist that you are then, okay you're a Christian, who is doomed to die (i mean you are going to hell). I am not condemning anyone I'm just stating a fact and i pray this will help you think about the kind of faith you posses for not all can saved us.
"For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live." -Romans 8:13
Apostle Paul's letters to the Romans aren't written for the unbeliever, it was written for the believers (A truth i discovered one day when i was listening to a sermon by John Piper).
A so-called Christian can still go to hell, if he/she walks after the flesh. A truth I recently believed in. Romans 8:13 is a warning and a guide for us in how we should live our lives, that is to live by the Spirit of God. And in doing so, we are becoming like Jesus... and just like how Jesus was rejected in this world we live in, we should expect of the same treatment from others. And as a Christian, we should gladly accept such struggles/pain for Christ's sake, as we are one with Him in His suffering, we will also be one in Him with our resurrection- the future glory we hope for.
Knowing that the present pain and struggles can not be compared to the future blessing/reward waiting for us in heaven. We are holding on to that promise, not because of what was promise to us rather because of the One who made the promise, because of God Himself.
So... for God, what are you willing to do or give?
We are to give our lives to the One who gave us that life and the eternal life we will soon have. And so it doesn't matter what will happen to us while we defend His glorious name to the world, what matters most is to fight for Him and lift Him up for the world to see. Our glory is not of this world anyways, its in heaven where Jesus would acknowledge us in the presence of God the Father with the angels.
Our lives are full of troubles, i should say, the devil meant it to bring us down while God allowed it to bring us up... because after every trial is blessing, a promotion from God but if we fail, satan is more than happy to see tour downfall. All the pain in this world, satan meant it for evil but God meant it for good. Its just a matter of perspective. We need to see things in a light not in darkness. Knowing that everything happens for the good to those who love God. No matter what we are going thru today God meant it for the good and for our growth for us to see things clearly and be saved. Just know to accept the pain and learn from it, ask for God's wisdom... pray to Him. Whatever happens to you, is not a surprise to God. He knows everything and He meant it for the good for He is good.

This verse is telling us to stand for Jesus even if our life is at risk.
Is that unfair? Some of you might think that way... but let me present 2 reason why we are to risk our lives for Him.
One. He made us. Nothing is ever made or came to be in this world without Him (John 1:3).
Two. We all were bound to hell with no option other than going to hell 'till He came to save us by giving us life everlasting thru faith by His abundant grace. (Ephesians 2:5-9)
The list could go on actually but i just presented two... The life we have today is because of His amazing grace upon us for without such we are dead, worst be in hell for eternity.

Just live by this statement: We live by Him and so we will live dying for Him.
To God be the glory!
