"Will man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offering." -Malachi 3:8

Tithes and offering

Many christians don't understand this. They end up not doing it... disobeying God in the process.

"Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it." -Malachi 3:10

In that verse God is not stating if you can please bring or in a sense volunteer... He said 'bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse...' Clearly it's a command. And if a command then we are responsible to uphold such duty- to obey God without murmuring and a bitter heart.

Not doing so is considered robbing God. Why the word robbed? Because in the first place God is the owner and creator of everything. All the things we see and enjoy. The strength we have each day to be able to go to work. And even our rising up/waking up is of God. Everything is His and if we realize that, then indeed it will be easy to obey God and be able to give with a cheerful heart and have a clear conscience.

By doing so God promises a blessing to them who are faithful to give their tithes & offering.

'...prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.'

I've learn as i continue to read the Word of God that, true blessings comes from giving.

As we call ourselves Christians, we should obey God in all things- in everything He has commanded us to do not just the things we want to do. When God said He loves us, He didn't mean He loves only this part of us and the other parts He didn't, He loved us completely- for who we were and who we are going to be in Christ Jesus. And if we say we love God then we should love Him completely & obey Him in all things, not just some rather in all the things He commanded us.

To God be the glory!
