"But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when His glory shall be reveal, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy." -1 Peter 4:13Christian life is a life lived Christ-like. Living the Christian life isn't all good rather its full of suffering, trials and pain. Just as Christ suffered in this world we live in.
But in everything we have experience today, the pain and struggles we take in... in order to live up the Christian life will be rewarded. If we take part in Christ death we will take part also in His resurrection, that hope will be the source of our joy as we live for Him. In the same way St. Paul was holding on,"...that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death; in order that I may attain to the resurrection from the dead." -Philippians 3:10-11
Also Moses was looking unto the reward God has prepared,
"He considered the reproach of Christ greater wealth than the treasures of Egypt, for he was looking to the reward." -Hebrews 11:26
Looking unto the reward will set our priorities straight, the only way we can get thru the reward is by focusing on Jesus Christ because the treasure of heaven is only available to those who seek God and His righteousness.
There's an exceeding joy in the Lord that no other pleasure can give, others are temporal pleasure that leads to sin and the only way for us to win the battle of sin is by setting our highest pleasure on God, to Him who sin not.
The pain you are going thru today for Christ's sake will be worth it... even death, for it essential for you eternal glory with our most glorious Lord & Saviour, Jesus. As death is our transition to eternity.
To god be the glory!
