"Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?" -Matthew 7:17-20

The conclusion of this verses is that good fruits are produced by good tree while evil fruits are by corrupt tree. And we can know that the tree is good by its fruit. Its exactly the same with man. We can know a man is a believer/ true christian base on his works... His fruits.

A man can be considered good if he has God in Him... Because as Jesus said there's only one who is good and that is God (Luke 18:19). A person can only be considered good in God's sight when he believes in God. We are righteous thru our faith.

"Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe..." -Romans 3:22

We are to follow God's way, and that way is Jesus Christ then we will never get lost again. Thru our faith in Jesus, the Holy Spirit will guide us as we live in this world for God's greater glory. The Holy Spirit will then dwell in us, as the Spirit abide in us... We are guided each and everyday and so our works will then be for God's glory and honor.

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance..." -Galatians 5:22-23

With that being said, nothing will go wrong with our lives as long as God the Holy Spirit is directing us everyday...

Our good works are a manifestation that we are indeed saved, a follower of Christ- a Christian. Our good works are our good fruits manifested in the world. That manifestation will set us apart from the world, and its evil workers.

May we strive & thrive to bear good fruits in this corrupt world we live in because it is only that way God can be glorified in us.
