"Say not, I will do so to him as he hath done to me: I will render to man according to his work." -Proverbs 24:29

This is God's command and a challenge for us, christian.

The world teaches us that its okay to get even... When a person hurt us, we feel the need to hurt them back and so we think of ways to get even or to wish for them to face struggles or worst we hope they die. Revenge.

But God says not to do it... No matter how they treat you badly still don't think about revenge nor do it.

The world teaches us to hate those who hate us but God says to love your enemies, did He not? To forgive as He has forgiven us and to do good and be understanding of those people for we were once like them. This is one of the traits that set us apart to the world. We forgive those had inflicted harm towards us, we love the unlovable - even our enemies. To be at peace with mankind and not cause misery.

Revenge is not our responsibility rather we are commanded to do good, be holy and righteous as a children of God, be like Christ Jesus.

When Jesus was crucified, and was nailed on the cross...to those who harmed Him Jesus pleaded to the Father to forgive those people. (Luke 23:34) It is not our job to seek vengeance, God will do it for us. As He said vengeance is mine. Knowing that, we should pray for our enemies that the wrath of God would be far from them and to not wish evil to come upon them rather to do them good that our end will give glory to our God Almighty.

Our mind should be set on loving, forgiving and helping people just as Jesus came to seek the lost and save us all.

To God be the glory!
