"Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life." -Revelation 2:10
Suffering is part of life. Jesus didn't promise us a struggle-free life... He mentioned that in this world there will be tribulation (John 16:33).So instead of that struggle-free life He promises, if we read closely the Bible... we will know that in every storm of life He will never leave us & He will fight our battles. We just need to have faith.
And in everything that is going to happen to us while we are on earth, He is asking us to not fear those things...
Fear activates the enemy and faith activates God (Joel Osteen quote).
This verse is a warning and at the same time a comfort for us, christians.
If we have fear we can never move forward and we will never get the chance to get God's reward for the faithful.
"You will never get crowned if you back down." -Unknown
Giving up is due to fear. Fear takes us away from God's greater plans in our lives because when we are afraid we dare not to face the struggles, trials, sufferings and pain...we can never face the promotion He has prepared for all of us. After every struggles, trials, sufferings and pain is blessing/reward/promotion/miracles that comes only from God.
Jesus being faithful unto death, rose again on the third day defeating death on the process and who is sitting on the right hand of the Father. Clearly that statement says it all of what will happen to us if we continue with our faith in Him. Why? because the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead is the same Spirit that dwells in us Romans 8:11. We have a reward at the end of every battles we have faced if we have faith.
Jesus rose from the dead is our hope, our assurance that whatever it is we are going thru today for the sake of Jesus Christ there will be a time and place that we will rise again from all of the pain & suffering the world has to offer, to everlasting life, our crown of life.
Never lose your crown by not allowing fear to have an effect in you...activate your faith so that fear can't work in you.
God warns us about our enemy, the devil- who will bring all the fear but God comforts us as always by the Holy Spirit. Remember we have reward waiting for us at the end of the battle.
P.S. We know who wins in this battle... TEAM JESUS.
To God be the glory!
