"But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil." -2 Thessalonians 3:3
The God we are serving doesn't only wants to save us for whatever situation we are in today but He intends to watch over us for the rest of our lives here for us to spend eternity with Him and the cross is our hope and assurance... it doesn't matter to Him even if He keeps on saving us over and over again because He loves us and He wants the best for us.
God's intention can be sum up in a verse, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope." -Jeremiah 29:11
That verse can be found in the old testament before Jesus Christ and the one i shared earlier in 2 Thessalonians 3:3, after the resurrection of Jesus Christ, holds the same desire God has for us. Clearly out God doesn't change. He is faithful.
Truly amazing, isn't it? Knowing that we are so unworthy of such from God. Amazing grace indeed. Knowing that God is faithful, we have His Word that He will do what He says... It will come to pass.
Here God shared to us 2 things that He will do for us,
One. He will stablish us.
And when God establishes us no one can move us that's what it means when God established His people. We can't be easily moved or shaken but anything, may it be the storm of life- any struggles that ought to bring us down. He will give us the grace for our faith to stand firm no matter what the situation esp. during the worst of time.
Two. He will keep us from evil.
This doesn't mean no evil will come or we are exempted to experience pain, or we are not to face battle in this life... This means God will give us a way out in every struggle we face. We will experience pain but we will be healed. We will overcome all life's trial. In every problems that will come our way God has already prepared a solution for that problem, it just a matter of faith- He will move if you have faith. The battles in this life isn't ours but God's. He will deliver us from evil. You will persevere, don't lose hope rather have faith. Know that there's always a rainbow after a storm, a miracle is on the way.
Believe in God. Believe in His Word.
Nothing is happening in your life that is strange to God. He knows everything... just know how to trust Him. It is all for the good no matter how unbearable life may seem... God's end or purpose for everything is for your good... just remember His plans for you- '...to give you a future and a hope...' Also know that our reward is not waiting here on earth rather in heaven.
To God be the glory!
