"Preserve me, O God, for in You I take refuge. I say to the Lord, 'You are my Lord; i have no good apart from You.'" -Psalm 16:1-2

What caught me the most in these verses is the part, '...i have no good apart from You...' which is actually true to all of us... there's no good in us and we are not good. We fall short of God's glory (Romans 3:23). And the Bible also states that no one is good except God... We need God to be good and have goodness in our lives apart from Him we are nothing... we are nothing, we came to be because of Him... we cannot exist on our own we just can't that is why we rely on Him, if we are not with Him and Him in us we are no good.
To be able to admit it is the bravest thing we could do and to be able to declare it makes us stronger compared to the world... It's called humility. To humbly admit pleases God. Humility is a sign of acknowledging God's supremacy over us... He is also being glorified with such act. Also a sign that we trust Him most and allowing Him to work in our lives for His greater glory for the world to see. God works with a humble man not the arrogant.
To God be the glory!
