"But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips." -Job 2:10
Do we know the story of Job's life?
Can you believe it? How can He stood firm after all the things that had happened in his life? After losing not only his cattle / business at that but he also lost his children and a sickness fell upon him. What a misfortune, you could say that! You know what, after all those thing took place almost at the same time... He didn't curse God or blame God about it even if His wife told him to do such.
I really like how he responded, 'What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil?' Job said.
As a christian we should strive to be like him, possessing a firm faith in our Lord God no matter what the situation we are in and no matter what other people say. May our unpleasant situations not sway our faith in God and may our trust in Him be not affected rather it should make our faith stronger than ever & all the more, trust God in those dark moments because we know the God we are serving, is that not so? We know Him & we know that everything works for the good to those who love God.
"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." - Romans 8:28
Hope that the struggles we face today will not diminish our trust in God & in His Word... rather at times like that, we should trust Him more than we did when we were bless by Him and believe in Him all the more.
In everything that is happening to you God has a purpose and the end/ the point in all that is to bless you, promote you & take you to the next level where He wants you to be. Its all for your good because God's plans are always for your best- to prosper you & not to harm you (Read Jeremiah 11:29).
Just Trust God, even when thing aren't working out fine...believe that it will be in God's time... i know He is working in you even if you don't feel it. Trust me a miracle is on the way if you would just learn to let God move in your life and let go of yourself.
In Job's life, God did bless Him more that before, so much more... The pain, the struggles, the heartache, everything He experiencde, was worth it not because God has bless him more than before but because it was proven that God was with Him thru it all.
Despite the negative things that had happened in Job's life... God still considered Him upright & perfect because if he wasn't then God would've not bless him more...
"And the Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before." - Job 42:10
May we, as today's generation of christians, be inspired of Job's life and strive to be upright & perfect in God's sight in every situation and no matter what the world tells us.
To God be the glory!
