"And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sin." -Matthew 1:21

Salvation has a name... that name is JESUS.

All have sinned against God. All. (Romans 3:23) With that sin, we are separated from God and from all the goodness & blessings that comes only from Him. The Bible also mentioned that the soul that sinned it shall die in Ezekiel 18:4... God is Holy & Righteous. Yet the sin we commit makes us imperfect & God is far from those people. Our iniquities separates us from God (Isaiah 59:2).

Hell is real as much as heaven is real. Hell will be the place for those unbelieving & disobedient man, though hell is original made for satan and his angels. Our sin leads us to that place because the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23).

But there's a good news...

"...but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." -Romans 6:23

Do you even understand what Jesus did for you on cross? Why He died & how He rose again on the third day? Do you?

You see God looked upon the earth to see someone who will be a bridge to connect man to Him again. But He saw none,

"And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none." - Ezekiel 22:30

All glory to God for being who He is. God is love (1 John 4:8). And He cannot deny Himself and so He decided to send His Son Jesus (John 3:16) to stand in the gap between Him & man. "...one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;" -1 Timothy 2:5

What did it mean when Jesus died? A sinless man. The Scripture said that 'the soul that sin shall die' then if He is indeed sinless, why did He die? 

"But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed." -Isaiah 53:5

He died because of our sins. He took our sins as His own and died for it for you and me to cleansed us from all our sins & from the consequences it will lead us to...eternal damnation. Only a sinless man can do that, a person who has lived a life without sin and only Jesus did that... He didn't commit any sin and has obeyed God the father even unto His death. And it please God the Father & that is why we have a chance, an option to be saved because of what Jesus did on the cross for us. He did it all because of His love towards us.

Everyone has sin. We are all chained, trapped/imprisoned beacause of our own foolishness. The only one can save us is a perfect being, a sinless man, and that's where Jesus came in perfectly into the picture. Only a perfect man can unchain and unlock the doors for you, a man without chains & someone who is not trap. It needs a free man to set free those imprisoned.

By setting you free it did cost Him His precious life... but that is not the end of the story!

Yes He died, but now He is alive. He has risen!

"And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:" - 1 Corinthian 15:4

He is alive! "...he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God." -Mark 16:19

Jesus being raised from the dead. To us Christian, what does that imply?

VICTORY!

"O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." -1 Corinthian 15:55-57

It meant victory for us.

"For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith." -1 John 5:4

What Jesus did for us, didn't only help us with our greatest problem, that is going to hell but also with our temporal struggles in this life we face. What He did assures us that He will help us in everything in this life in the same way He took care of our souls.

And so no matter what we are facing today, the cross is the proof of God's great love for us & so He will save us in whatever situation we are in today & even in the days to come, only & only if we seek Him first with all our heart.

"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." -Matthew 6:33

"And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you." -Romans 8:11

Remember 1 John 5:4, it is our faith in Christ Jesus that we can overcome anything in this world. Believe in Jesus. In the Salvation He has given us!

Salvation was brought to us thru Jesus Christ. I hope you understand why salvation has a name... because after all its all about Him, what He did for us, and what He has prepared for us & in how He has loved us. All for His renown! 

Jesus is the name of salvation.
