"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." -Matthew 6:33We all have something we need or want. It doesn't have to be a thing that can be seen, because we also need joy, peace, love, forgiveness and the list could go on. And in those things we desire, what we really need is not about the question of 'what' but 'who'.
I believe what we really need is God and Him alone. That is also what the Scripture is saying in this verse. In order for us to get what we need in this life, all we have to do is to seek God first... To seek Him first above all else! After all He gave us this life we have today. Do you think He can't provide the things you need?
Does that make sense?
We often get happiness in this world after buying the things we want but then it eventually fades... because the world can only offer temporal things, man clearly want something that will last forever. Women dream to be loved by the person, whom they love... forever, do we not? Because i do, but then we are confronted of a truth that we can't run away from- we are imperfect being after all. Businesses fail, hearts broken, friendship ends...
But all those things we desire, a business, a love life, even marriage, happiness, peace, forgiveness, scholarship, work/job/career, friendship, salvation and a lot more, ...if we want it to last, then we truly need God in our lives, in the same way that He has offered us eternal life thru His Son, Jesus Christ... An unfading gift from our God that only Him can offer, an eternal God.
I believe that whatever we need in this temporal world, God can provide it for us in the same way He has given us everlasting life. We need not to worry. Just chill and trust God.Be reminded: In seeking God it is important to know our motives... Because in order for God to answer our prayer, we need to searh Him with all our heart... And not because we want something from Him rather because we want and need Him.
To God be the glory!
