"For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus." -Galatians 3:26

It's amazing to know that by faith we are not only saved but importantly be part of God's family. What an honour it is for an imperfect being and a creation to be called such a'child of God'.

We already know that thru our faith in Jesus we are saved,

"And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved..." Acts 16:31

But what strikes me most is that God thru our faith in Jesus Christ, He will accept us and acknowledge us as His children.

"But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:" -John 1:12

"The Son of God became a man to enable men to become sons of God." -C. S. Lewis

Not a child by blood rather by the Holy Spirit...

"Because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, "Abba! Father!" Therefore you are no longer a slave, but a son; and if a son, then an heir through God." -Galatians 4:6-7

Becoming sons of God doesn't make us gods, rather we are being adopted...

"...so that He might redeem those who were under the Law, that we might receive the adoption as sons." -Galatians 4:5
And if we are then part of God's family, so we are heir in God's Kingdom with Jesus thru Jesus Christ, Him being the firstborn.

Also being called sons and daughters of God, we have a clear responsibility of upholding God's name in the world and to never put shame in that name God has called us. And the only way to uphold the name of God we carry as His child, is becoming like Jesus... Jesus being our rolemodel, and treat Him as an older brother or sister, whom we look up to... we wouldn't want God to be disappointed in us and so, as He has loved us- we will live our lives glorifying Him, as a form of loving Him back after all the things He has done, worthy is He.

Be reminded always, you are not you're own but God's... You are to please Him that is our goal as His child, pleasing God in fulfulling our tasks without murmur and doing His will and command.

To God be the glory!
